What is this?

Team Fortress 2 Classic is a mod for Team Fortress 2 which portrays the 2006 to 2009 era of the original Team Fortress 2, with the addition of old features that were scrapped and worked upon during the game's early stages, with the twist of new content such as new weapons and gamemodes.

Click on the download link...





While that is downloading, head over to your library and sort your filter to tools...


Download Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer...



Now locate your TF2 Sourcemod Files...

Local Disk (C:)
└📁Program Files (x86)
⠀└📁Steam
⠀⠀└📁steamapps
⠀⠀⠀└📁sourcemods


Where ever you downloaded your TF2C File, drag and drop to your 'sourcemods' file...






Now after all of that, restart Steam and VOILA, Team Fortress 2 Classic shall appear in your library!

Q. Is there Linux and Mac support?
A. There is Linux support, as it's included with all downloads of the mod. As for Mac support, within the recent few years, 32bit has been unsupported, leaving us in a situation where it's hard to allow for support.

Q. Will there be more updates after this one?
A. Yes. They won't take as long.

Q. Is there Lore in TF2Classic?
A. The only lore we carry over from Live Team Fortress 2 are the Meet the Team shorts and the Class Bios from the Official TF2 Website. (Pyroland is retconned within Team Fortress 2 Classic)

Q. How do I apply to become a Beta Tester for TF2Classic?
A. Be a positive presence in our public discord.

To be a beta tester you need to :
Make it known that you're available

Follow the rules of the server and be mature

Be an active enough member of this discord so we know you'd be an active tester

To increase your chance of being added you can :

Make it known if you have a special set a skills that you feel would be useful for development (map making is probably the best example)

Be thoughtful about what you post in #tf2classic (Avoid posting lots of small messages, take as much care as you can of your syntax, ect...)

Be nice to people both in and outside this server

Q. Will Team Fortress 2 Classic affect my in-game files or my cosmetics?
A. TF2 Classic runs separate from your Team Fortress install. This means that usage of this software will not and cannot directly impact your Team Fortress 2 game or items.
