Biomass and Carbonium-Power Plant are very cost-efficient (good to start with) but need input ressource. Not worth to upgrade to higher levels
Solar and Wind: are quite cost-efficient, but are not that tile-efficient. But they can "stand alone" and are therefore great for outposts. While some players prefer wind, i guess its quite smart to mix them up. Energy Storage is needed anyway
Gas: seemed to be the best overall energy source from my point of view and are totally worth to upgrade
Geotherm: is a bit expensive, but quite tile-efficient, worth to upgrade and a good choise if the geotherm has an attractive location.
Magma: seemes to be as good as gas
Nuclear: getting expensivem, need input ressources, but is great in case of tile-efficiency
Fusion Powerplant: most expensive but also most tile-efficient
Not 100% perfect math puts it at about 4.16 resources per energy for solar to achieve the average 10.83 output for a full day. Assumes 10 energy storage buildings per 33 solar panels.
Gas diagram at the end flips the order from resource per energy to energy per resource. Might be good to sync those up with the other chart, so gas level one .3 resource per energy = 3.265 energy per resource for comparison to the other charts.
