For those struggling with it, make sure you turn the bus HUD on that tells you your speed and that there's a bomb etc. I didn't realize you had to get the passengers off at any point.
That said. Its still very hard.

To get past the first hard part, as soon as it tells you there's a bomb on board, hook off road to the right. You can roll over the hill and make a lot smoother transition onto the highway hopefully losing less time.

Then pull up to the truck, let the passengers off

Lastly, First time you see the yellow gates, just entering the city. Hook it to the right, WAY easier Two checkpoints, then you bail out and the bus will fly.
