Oblivion Walker Achievement Guide (Simplified)

There have been several guides written online about how to achieve the oblivion walker achievement. I have read several and decided to created a simplified guide on how to get it.

Important Information

To make this guide simpler I will be labeling each artifact with the following label:

Missable- Yes or No

If yes it means if the quest is not done properly you could miss the achievement. An example would be making the wrong choices.
If no you can get the artifact so long as you do the quest

I just added to this guide what I thought was very important as well as what I feel some guides missed. And most importantly, left out things that were non-essential to make it simple and easy to follow.... or so I hope.

The Black Star or Azura's Star

Missable: No
Level Requiement: None

• Go to Azura's Shrine below Winterhold (pictured below)
  
• Follow the quest and you can get one of two items The Black Star or Azura's star. It doesn't matter which.

Dawnbreaker

Missable: No
Level Requirement: 12+

• Go to the Shrine of Merida west of Solitude (pictured below)

Ebony Blade

Missable: No
Level Requirement: 20+

• Go to the Bannered Mare in Whiterun
  
• Speak with the innkeeper about rumors
  
• She will eventually tell you about the Jarl's son and you will receive a misc quest to speak with the Jarl
  
• Eventually you will need to pickpocket a key from either the Jarl or the Jarl's mage, Forengar

Ebony Mail

Missable: No
Level Requirement: 30+

• You will need a non-essential companion to sacrifice for this quest so hire someone from any inn and make sure they are following you.
  
• Go to the Sacellum of Boethiah East of Windhelm (pictured below)
  
• Talk to the priestess to begin the quest
  
• Head up the steps and ask your follower to do something for you.
  
• Highlight your cursor on the shrine so it says, "Activate Pillar of Sacrifice"
  
• Kill them (does not need to be with the the sacrificial blade)
  
• Kill off everyone at the shrine
  
• Go to the bandit camp she requested you go to and kill the bandits
  
• The Ebony Mail will be equipped on one of the bandits so just take it off his body, equip it, and voilà
  
  
  

Mace of Molag Bal

Missable: No
Level Requirement: None

• Go to Markarth and walk through the market to an abandoned house with a man standing outside
  Note: Sometimes he does not appear outside the house. In that case, go outside the main door and he should be on the stairs or around the stables.
  
• After speaking with him just follow the quest through
  
  

Masque of Clavicus Vile

Missable: Yes
Level Requirement: 10+

• Go to Falkreath and there should be an Imperial Soldier at the entrance who asks you about a missing doggy.
  
• Head South and run into the doggy, Barbas
  
• Follow the quest through but this is VERY important. The artifact IS missable if you kill Barbas. DO NOT KILL THE DOGGY! Return the axe and leave Barbas be!

Mehrunes' Razor

Missable: Yes
Level Requirement: 20+

• Go to Dawnstar and find the house with some orange/redish flags on the exterior
  
• Talk to Silus Vesuius (either he is outside his home already or arguing with a woman... if you wait outside his home he should appear)
  
• Speak with him and follow the quest through but please beware this artifact is missable. You will have the option to kill or spare Silus. KILL SILUS or you will not receive the artifact
  
  

Oghma Infinium

Missable: No
Level Requirement: 15+

• While doing the main storyline in Skyrim you should meet a mage named Septimus Signus who is located at Septimus Signus Outpost North of Winterhold (pictured below)
  
• He will give you a quest that needs you to harvest blood from various races. I found the best place to harvest the blood is Liar's Retreat (head West of Morthal or look up a photo of the map location it won't let me put a photo in) Here you can find all the blood that you need aside from High Elf blood
  
• You can find High Elf blood in various places. I personally went to the Thalmor Embassy which if you did the main quest will be discovered on your map already northwest of Solitude. Otherwise, just look it up there are so many places.
  
  
  
  
  

Saguine's Rose

Missable: No
Level Requirement 14+

• You are looking for a man named Sam Guevenne. He will spawn in an Inn. I believe it will be the closest inn to you when your character turns level 14.
  
  Note: He seems to appear mostly in the Bannered Mare but that does not always hold true. Check all the inns or if you want to make things simpler above the tab key there should be a ~ button. Click that button in game to bring up the console command prompt. Type this in exacty player.moveto 000A96A0 and you should teleport to him.
  
  
• Participate in his drinking game and that is all. This quest is a silly one. :P
  

Skull of Corruption

Missable: Yes
Level Requirement: None

Go to the Windpeak Inn in Dawnstar & Speak to Erandur to begin the quest
This artifact is missable. You have a choice to kill Erandur or not. Kill Erandur or he destroys the artifact!!!!!!!!

Spellbreaker

Missable: No
Level Requirement: Level 12+

• Go to the Shrine to Peryite (pictured below) and talk with the Khajit
  He will tell you a list of items you must collect; Vampire Dust, Deathbell, Silver Ingot, and Flawless Ruby.
  
  The Vampire Dust & Deathbell can be bought from alchemy shops. The Ingot can be bought from different Blacksmiths. Thanks to Vlad in the comments of this guide for telling us that a Flawless Ruby always spawns in the abandoned row boat south of Kolskeggr Mine (also pictured below).
  
  
• This artifact is a shield so once you complete the quest you probably won't get a notification saying you obtained it when you did. Just check your inventory under apparel.

The Ring of Hirscine or Savior’s Hide

Missable: No
Level Requirement: None

• Go to Falkreath and head over to the barracks and into the jail.
  
• Talk to the man locked up in the jail and you will begin the quest.
  
• Eventually, you will have to either kill Sinding or the hunters. Either choice will grant you one of the artifacts.
  
  Kill Hunters: Hircine's Ring (allows for multiple werewolf transformations per day)
  Kill Sinding: Hide (resist magic 15% and resist poison 50%)
  
  Yes, you can technically get both artifacts using a "glitch." You can look it up if interested.
  

Ring of Namira

Missable: Yes
Level Requirement: None

• Go to Markarth and then to Understone Keep.
  
• Speak to a man named Verulus (he is standing outside the Hall of the Dead within Understone Keep) wearing orange robes.
  
• While you are inside the Hall a woman named Eola will talk to you. HELP EOLA AND DO NOT REFUSE OR YOU WILL MISS THE ARTIFACT
  

Wabbajack

Missable: No
Level Requirement: None
This is the best quest in my opinion

• Go to Solitude and towards the graveyard past the market
  
• Look for a man named Dervenin and speak with him
  
• To complete this quest you need to complete the "puzzles" I will guide you through each one if you wish but it is more fun to figure it out on your own and resort back here if you need help.
  
  Dream Phase: You should see Pelagius lying on a bed. Pull out the Wabbajack and shoot everything in this order; Pelagius - Wolf - Pelagius - Bandit - Pelagius - Hagraven - Pelagius - Flame Atronach - Pelagius - Dragon Priest.
  
  Confidence Phase: You will see Pelagius called Confidence, who is very teeny tiny, being beaten up by a bandit, Anger. Shoot Confidence twice and Anger once.
  
  Arena Phase: On the other side of the arena are guards and an empty throne. Shoot the guard on the left and wolves should spawn signaling you solved the puzzle.
  
  
  

Volendrung

Missable: Kinda
Level Requirement: None

• Go to Largashbur (pictured below)
  
• You will see a giant attacking the orcs. Kill the giant and it will begin the quest.
  
• You will need to gather a Daedra Heart which can be found at the Shrine of Mehrune from Mehrunes’ Razor quest or near Jorrvaskr in Companion’s Hall in Whiterun
  
• You will also need Troll Fat which can be found on the shelf near the alchemy set in Hall of Countenance in College of Winterhold. There is also some in Alvor/Sigrid's house in Riverwood.
  
• Then follow the quest through but be careful as the quest can be missed technically if you let the giant kill the orc camp OR you hit them with your weapon. So just don't be mean or let the giant be too mean and you'll be good.
  
  

Conclusion

You made it! I hope this was helpful. This guide was inspired by many others especially the one on True Achievements. I finished this achievement following that guide yesterday and it was missing a lot that I thought I'd add. Don't get me wrong it is a good guide just missed some things.

Also, it seems that the level requirement for spellbreaker is 12+, not 10+

There is a way to find a flawless ruby guaranteed. Theres a wrecked boat in a gorge south of Kolskeggr Mine that to my knowledge always spawns with one
