How to Enable Camera Zoom

1. Press ` (tilde key)
   
2. Type camera_enable_zoom 1 <press enter key>
   
3. Use mouse wheel to zoom camera

The developers have made some changes.

Now I have:
initial_config_win.cfg

set enable_developer_console 1
set cheat_enable_debug_menu 1
set camera_enable_zoom 1
set r_show_fps 1
set r_disable_fog 1

it doesnt work.

Here's what I have in my .cfg files:
[X]:\The Riftbreaker\conf

Open the files with Notepad.

initial_config_win.cfg
initial_config.cfg

I have set the 2 files to "read only" as updating the game tends to reset additional lines.
This also works with the GoG version of the game.

set EXOR_DEVELOPER_BUILD == 1
set enable_developer_console 1
set cheat_enable_debug_menu 1
set camera_enable_zoom 1
set r_show_fps 1
set r_disable_fog 1

This enables the console ("Ø" key on Scandinavian keyboards), unlocks a dev menu (accessed by pressing F11), unlocks the camera zoom, disables the fog (handy when using an unlocked cam) and shows in-game performance on the top-left.

Thanks! Also "r_disable_fog 1" removes the fog that appears when you zoom out.

I had to do this, everytime i start Riftbreaker, heres my

Tip for Modders and each other:

go to "Steam/steamapps/common/Riftbreaker/conf"
There u can find the "initial_config.cfg" file

RECOMMENDED:
Make a backup of that file.

After this, u can edit the whole file with Notepad or something else.

If u want to take a better view:
Search for "Camera_distance" place something between 15 and 20 as value in the " "

Just under Camera_Distance place:
set camera_enable_zoom "1"

Now u can zoom in and out with an exceptionell range.

I use 19 as value, btw.

the console button can vary, for me its the '@ button near my right shift button. Other than that this works fine for enabling mouse wheel control of zoom
