Author's Notes

As the game gets update and Alchemist all over the world contributing their secret potion recipe for the betterment of the Alchemist guild, I decided to add some minor changes to the guide by adding the Ver X.X prefix at the end of the guide and a changelog. Due to the possibility of the game future updates having 'picky' customer and that they cannot consume potion created from using certain ingredients due to allergy reaction, taste, smell or lack of ingredients, the "Zep's Alchemist Legacy" guide shall now include submitted/recommended recipes by various Alchemist all around the world.

• Submitted/recommended recipes will be on a first post, first serve basis.
  
• Submitted/recommended recipes will be tried and tested before being included into the legacy for the feasibility of the crafting method. Should your submitted/recommended recipe did not end up in the legacy, please refrain from submitting a letter of complaint and provide your memory crystal instead if possible.
  
• Submitted/recommended recipes submission are required to adhere the to standards set by the Author and every other professional Alchemist, which is to keep the production cost of the potions as low as possible.
  
• Submission of recipes are encourage to have different ingredients as to the already submitted recipes. This is so we can have wide variety of recipe with different ingredients to use as long as they adhere to the requirement of low cost efficiency. For example, there are already 3 recipe for Potion of Poisoning yet all 3 have the share the same ingredient of Firebell.
  
• The number of variation of Potion recipe in this guide will be limited to 3-5, up to the guide author discretion

Procedure According To Author: First, add the grind the grave mushroom until it is at or just a little past the center of the second dash on the top right side of the grave (the side that takes you left and up). Now stir until right when the potion starts heading along the bottom side (look for the first rightward movement). Follow this up with water to bring the potion back to the start. Now add two real Thunder Thistles a Cloud Crystal and a Sulfur Shelf (all fully ground). Carefully stir until the moment you see the whirlpool light up. Finally ease air through the bellows until the whirl pool lines you up.

There's a way to get a strength potion with one ingredient - By using mudshroom, crushing all the way, then the very moment the potion touches the whirlpool, heat it up all the way to teleport down, and you should be able to reach tier 3 with just that singular mudshroom. a bit finnicky sometimes though. (A simpler one without using the teleport effect is to just add a terraria and use the ladle.)

You can do the hallucinations one with 5 ingredients if you do basically the same as in the video, and then use the first whirlpool to get as high as possible, then witch mushroom with no grind, frost sapphire and finally a tangleweed, and use the second whirlpool to also get as high as possible, it will line up the tangleweed with just behind the effect, and then you can pull it in with water to get strong potion

For the explosion one, you can start with a lava root, grind until it starts going downwards in the final curve, then add 2 windblooms and a sulphut shelf to the max, and hitch a ride on the vortex as soon as possible, you will see that the X will align with the line to the potion beyond the explosion, and then spin and pul it in.

You can also use a green mushroom to the max, two tangleweeds to the max, and a terraria around half, and adjust.

This is awesome. Wanted to add that I found an alternate way of doing the sleep potion by using a marshroom, a tangleweed, then a green mushroom processed nearly to the max (right before it turns downwards) and then another tumbleweed, and you adjust a little bit at the end with water.

@Julieoolaa Its about the number of ingredients. The term 'cost' in this guide refers to the number of ingredients used, not the numeric value of said ingredient or its the total value to produce the potion.
