Sorry, but this game was released with certain components clearly intended but not complete. It should be considered as still in Early Access by anyone who considers buying it, with the understanding that it has been in this state for a long, long time. It was fun enough for a while, but once I realized certain things that looked unlockable were not even actually a part of the game yet? Yeah, I kinda just stopped playing.

I empathize with the difficulties the studio may have but then you shouldn't make promises about updates you can't keep.

The game was rushed to a 1.0 release so they could justify raising the price despite little content being released.


Constant devblogs would be made but with no updates adding any content shown in them ever.


After a year and a half since the lackluster 1.0 release,
the newsfeed devolved into an ad wall promoting whatever game their publisher feels like.


This game is abandoned,
the game has remained largely the same with little new content since its initial early access release,
the devs released devblogs to keep hopes of updates high and purchases flowing.



If you are ok with the game as it is now and the fact that it will never be updated,
buy it.

If you are not ok with the devs abandoning it and turning its newsfeed into an ad wall,
then don't.

Bought this game back around christmas of 2022 and have been wanting to play it again but the mechanics that were shown off about a year and a half ago are still not implemented. I hope that the devs have another project or full-time job on the go because how little has been done to present-day is egregiously low when looking at almost any other indie dev. Honestly I've been so disappointed in how everything has turned out I wish I could refund the game. The devs were negligent with presenting concepts that arent anywhere near ready, at best, or a scammer who gives false promises to sell a game, at worst.

I have played the demo, and I have played the release. The creators promised garden upgrades, tool upgrades, complex quests, new music, and a revamp of the leveling system. None of this things were added. I love the idea behind this game, I love the artwork, and the overall style. And I was waiting for such a long time to write a review, because I really wanted it to be positive.

But it's not. Promises need to be kept, and I've waited for more than a year since they were made. As of now: game feels unfinished. You can make potions with multiple effects, but customers never require multiple specific effects. Just a generic "the more effects the better". Some customers come with orders that are nearly impossible to do. And even if you somehow do it, you're not rewarded with anything worth your time.

I wish this game was finished. But after all this time I've got no hope left.

The art style is really nice and I had lots of fun at the beginning, searching for new recipes/effects to progress in the Alchemist's Path... but I will join other players voices and can't recommend it in it's current state due to some dealbreakers:

- At Chapter 7 (out of 10), it's just become way too tedious and grindy. Crafting Nigredo crystal, then, Albedo, etc, until your reach the Philosopher's Stone to complete the main quest, ok. But to craft the next crystal, you have to craft all the previous ones while spending way too many of your ingredients on making dozens of potions with weird effets. But if it was only that. To progress the "main quest", you also have to craft alongside these crystals new salts you're not even sure you want to use, using said crystals, meaning crafting all of them all over again. Just why.
- Speeking of grindy, still waiting for the new map to craft last potions in the endgame without them being just "oh god, no" to craft with the Water Map, speedrunning your bankruptcy.
- Don't you dare complete a chapter without having already found the next one's recipes. Otherwise, be prepared of waves of customers asking for effects you don't have in stock, ruining your reputation. At least (sic), it's doesn't really mean anything other than different types of customers coming.
- I have some potions that get almost never asked for (looking at you, Lightning), but some others are the opposite... leading you to have a stock of 99+ of an ingredient but ruining your reputation because customers keep on asking the same ones you can't craft at the moment.
- But if only I could have them in the garden! That was announced for the 2.0 a while ago, so...

Leading to the conclusion:

Great stuff announced in the 2.0 that will bring some variety to the gameplay, because otherwise it becomes boring really fast and the grind needed to complete the main quest could be made far less uselessly tedious.

Play the game until you reach or finish Chapter 7 and wait for the 2.0 to complete the endgame... if 2.0 is released one day.

Like others here, I suspect this game has been abandoned. I will update my review if they update the game.

I bought this game a little bit after it first released, I thought it was a bit repetitive in its current state but it was getting updates. My biggest issue was hitting a wall in regards to ingredients because you don't quite get enough to keep the game going at a good pace. They have been teasing a garden update and some re balancing changes they have in the works. I keep checking back to see what they are communicating with the players so I can play the game again after the update, but the devs seem to have gone silent and haven't posted anything in about 8 months at the time of writing this review. In its current state, I don't recommend this game at full price (currently listed at $20), but maybe on sale.

Too shallow. An alchemist simulator that makes it boring to be an alchemist. There is no experimenting to one's content, the whole town isn't counting on you, you won't create your own recipes since you cannot keep a stock of ingredients without wasting time, the potions you make are only to be sold or to grind through a horrible campaign, and you're not even in full control of your own shop (you aren't even in control of your garden). The longer this game is played the more tedious and less engaging the game becomes. A half-baked dead mall 'simulator' that confuses 'relaxing' with 'boring'.
