there are tons of rare room layouts in Isaac but only a very small amount of rare secret rooms, I thought it was about time that changed! This mod aims to add the excitement of finding a really rare room layout to the secret rooms of Isaac.

With these rooms I mostly stuck to the vanilla style whilst still trying to keep them interesting, adding a lot of variety and being exciting to find, there are a few wacky ones in there too but not too many. The balance of these rooms is also on par with the vanilla game, some are lower value, some higher and for anyone worried about items in secret rooms I placed items in 15% of the rooms in this mod which is equal to what the vanilla secret rooms offer.

In Repentance there are only 38 secret room layouts total and when you compare that number to some of the other room types it seems so low, and on top of that only 5 are classed as "rare" and so finding a rare secret rooms just comes down to if you get an item and nothing more. The 115 secret rooms this mod adds utilise unique mechanics and encounters that the game has but doesnt really use much at all.

As for the actually rarity of these rooms, they will show up around once every 2-3 runs so it gonna take a while to see them all and keep that excitement of finding one alive!
