Grand Plague Lords
The Plague Lords are the seven disciples of decay within Clan Pestilens who serve as its leadership underneath Arch-Plaguelord Nurglitch. As it said in the Book of Woes, there were seven Plague Lords, and their number would remain unchanged. With typical Clan Pestilens order, each of the titles carried with it specific duties related to the post. (There’s six here, because Lord Skrolk is the seventh, and you all know what he's up to.)
  • Archdeacon of Disease Lord Skrimanx: Lord Skrimanx has climbed high within Clan Pestilens, and aims higher. He has ascended a vast mountain of dead Skaven to claim a seat only two steps from the throne, and his eyes turn upwards still. Plague Lord

  • Great Potentate of Pustules Lord Gritch: There never was a greedier or more grasping skaven than Lord Gritch. Grossly corpulent, he consumed any kind of flesh he could get his claws upon. Plague Lord

  • The Ravener Lord Kreegrix: Distended muscles and swollen features adorn Lord Kreegrix, his form warped out of all proportion by the vast quantities of plagued warpstone he consumes. It has given him a fearsome strength in battle, and a presence that terrifies any who know him not. Plague Lord

  • Spreader of the Word Lord Blistrox: In charge of recruiting and directing those clans that fell beneath the bubonic-pull of Clan Pestilens, Lord Blistrox’s unorthodox methods were questioned by many, but the plaguelord has achieved much success by taking advantage of other clans’ specialties. Plague Pontifex

  • Pontifex of Plagues Lord Grilok: At Lord Grilok's command, the Contagion Conclave was set in motion, brewing up the most hateful batches of contamination imaginable in their Cauldrons of a Thousand Poxes. Plague Pontifex

  • The Hidden: The seventh seat's title, role, whereabouts, and identity are all unknown to those outside of Clan Pestilens, much to the consternation of the other Great Clans. Unique

Heroes of Clan Pestilens
Clan Pestilens is one of the four great Skaven clans, feared throughout their domain for the vile diseases and plagues these Skavens have mastered and unleashed upon this world. Probably the most formidable out of all the Great Clans, Clan Pestilens is watched with trepidation by enemies and allies alike, having been the main aggressor and instigator of both Skaven Civil Wars, and almost overthrowing the Council of Thirteen. Those victories have seen many units rise to prominence, powerful and influential enough in their own right to be worthy of a place inside Warhammer II.

  • Plaguevermin (Stormvermin - Halberds): These elite Stormvermin wore armor stained and encrusted with the filth of ages and bore plague-blessed halberds of rusted iron. Even a scratch from such a weapon had been known to fell foes.

  • Bearers of Creeping Death (Plague Monks Censer Bearers): Before each battle, doomed Plague Monk volunteers took vows and lifted up censers billowing with the debased concoction known as Creeping Death, swinging them so that contrails of death were left in their wake. Those not slain in combat would succumb soon afterwards, the sickness too virulent for even the most disease-gnarled of Plague Monks.

  • Bilekin Brotherhood (Plague Monks): The Bilekin are extremists, even with Clan Pestilens. As part of their ritual of infection, they bath daily in the worst filth imaginable, coating themselves and the blades of their weapons in liquid disease.

  • Chained Ones (Skavenslaves): The Chained Ones are the hardy survivors of Warlord Clans that once challenged Clan Pestilens. Without resistence to their masters’ maladies, most slaves quickly succumb to the horrors of Clan Pestilens' most wretched diseases. Those who could survive such conditions were the fiercest of their kind, and became the Chained Ones, used to pull the Virulent Batteries and then thrown into battle as cannon fodder. But they liberated something from the Virulent Batteries on the way...

  • Slimeblades (Clanrats - Shields): These Clanrats bear cruelly serrated blades glowing purple-green, and coated in the deadly oozyeye disease. Upon closer inspection, which wasn’t recommended, the beady red eyes of the Clanrats themselves dripped a congealed greenish substance.

  • Virulent Batteries (Plagueclaw Catapults): The Virulent Batteries were one of Clan Pestilens’ most devastating assets. The war engines had laid low many an enemy before - destroying dwarf mountain fortresses, fouling lair-dens of rival clans, or battering apart the puny wooden constructs of the greenskins. With their disease-ridden payload supplied by the Contagion Conclave, the Virulent Batteries stood ready to spread the worst strains of disease, all in the name of the Great Horned Rat.

Mod Information
The six Plague Lords and the six Regiments of Renown are each available via their own unique technology that costs food in addition to time (yes, I know it shows Canopic Jars. It's a CA visual bug, and still charges food). Once unlocked, the lords are available for recruitment in the Grand Plague Lord section of the lord recruitment screen, while the Regiments of Renown are added to the RoR recruitment screen.

Lord Types
  • Plague Lords are the generals of the Bubonic Court, years of martial training and resistance to disease having made them able to bear the greatest plague censers that Clan Pestilens has ever created. These are your martial options.

  • Plague Pontifexes are the high priests of Clan Pestilens, disease-addled souls riding into battle atop towering cauldrons full of a thousand poxes, spreading frenzy and pollution to all who approach. These are your casters, although they have some martial skill, and aren't a complete pushover in melee like a Grey Seer.

  • The Hidden is, well, you'll just have to see.

Only available to Clan Pestilens, in both Vortex and Mortal Empires.

Thanks to DeadFingers for the artwork used.

Is this compatible with SFO?

Well, the desired goal is definitely to get all of them ported over once IE and my rats return (as well as Cult of Ulric, don't worry there).

Good good! I can't wait to play all the other factions again, and I did enjoy your mods!

It's the only way to get a fully custom faction into the game. But, for WH3, I'll probably flip it to a Mixu mod and overwrite Clan Morbidus for the RoC campaign, just for compatibility

I did not know BC was a Start-Pos!

My Bubonic Court mod completely overwrites this one, which is a much smaller one designed for use without the heavy startpos modding of Bubonic Court.

Nvm

I’m using stiginge-oy’s BCoN mod, not yours.

Now, when you say it’s not compatible with the Bubonic Court of Nurglitch mod what do you mean? How so?

I’m using both and both seem to be working just fine with one another with the exception that the plague martyr is missing - I was chalking that up to the Pestilens Recruitment Tree Rework mod though as that messes with the Pestilens building chain (where I assume the PM is supposed to be recruited).

Has anyone come across a problem where you cannot build the plague chapel due to not having the required building (even though there isn't any) ???
Not saying it's this mod but it's quite annoying if you're playing as Skrolk and cannot build shit!
Thrakerzod 23.11.2021 klo 15.43
if I confederate Clan Pestilens as another Skaven faction will I get these characters?
