Description
General gameplay change:
[No dlc should be required
This project's first goal is to make most divisions fun and competitive in their own way for small games (at least more than vanilla the second goal is to have an alternative balance for small games that are more dynamic and with the idea of reducing the artillery-infantry meta in favour of a more mobile one. As such off-meta units and divisions have been reworked or expanded upon. There are over 50 additions and modifications in terms of units, a dozen brand new ones and others from the campaigns.

➣Recon:
Recons is needed more than ever as infantry doesn't spot as well as before.
And you want them for some range buffs or even to do the fighting themselves sometimes with bigger squads.
Recon is a critical aspect of the mod when you no longuer have recons units your effectivness on the battefield will decrease. The dedicated two mans squads are the best at spotting wheras the recon planes are always an asset.

➣Tank and infantry

Tanks deals more HE damage have been rebalanced and repriced but their optic reduced. Opening to better combine arms and mobile warfare yet most long range options have been nerfed and now have to be used in conjunction with recon to get the most out of it. The line of sight in town have been adapted to have better vehicle fights. Lucky shots against tanks are also far less likely.

Reliance on commander is required to win has veterancy has an impact on all the area of the battlefield link between leader and commander has thus been buffed.
Infantry even nerfed in terms of optics. range and price is still needed and infantry divisions can count on new active abilities for their trait such as fanatical and raider as well as their combat recon squad or cqc specialist and now airborne.

Tanks hp have been reworked < or =50mm armor 8 hp. < or =75mm armor 9 hp, < or = 100mm armor 10 hp < or =125mm armor 12HP. = <175mm armor 14hp

➣Planes:

Planes can now slow down behind a target, fighter are thus more effective at intercepting target thanks to that, planes HP have been rebalanced and bombers have been nerfed overall by HP and by a cooldown before they can appear on the battlefield.
AA does more criticals and suppression, but a lot of the slower more fragile planes still have a place in the game because of the HP changes.

➣ Anti Tank:
AT guns are still very dangerous as tanks are blind without recons or infantry support.They also deal more damage if they are undetected. Tank destroyers have some buff as well adding into their aim time buff from vanilla there is an accuracy buff if vehicle stay at the same place during 45 seconds see traits for more details..

Range rework and damage modification:

Most guns have the same range as vanilla; the HMG are set at 1000m, sniper have been reduced like other infantry weapons but the biggest changes are on the max range.

Native max range decreased from 2k to 1875m to have more room to manoeuvre and flank.
But all vehicles can shoot futher if they are near a recon unit with the "awareness" trait.
As such I lowered the range of some units. Since tanks have more difficulty penetrating each other at long ranges...

This also means that any guns on vehicles can have their vanilla range and even above for things like support guns and assault guns which can fire up to 2250m with a vet 3 recon awareness units.
I created a new sub range 3(4) in total 1375m 1625m and 1875m and (875m for autocanon).

HE Range of assault guns has been set at 1875m from 2k
Most 1750m AP firing weapons decreased to 1625m. The exception here the most potent guns17 pounder kwk42 75mm flak 41 88mm Resita... are set at 1750m
HeaT of various 75mm decreased to 1375m meaning their HE range exceed their AP range.
Decreased short barrel guns <100mm AP range from 1500 to 1375m.
Auto Canon 20mm HE and AP decreased to 875m.
MG on vehicles decreased to 575m (not AA variant) so as to not fire too far when they get the range buff.

Rebalanced weapons

Weapons such as the worst SMG, STG and semi auto rifles are also buffed, only lmg have been slightly nerf from vanilla at max range. FG42 has also been changed to be more like an assault rifle..

13 traits, 7 expended traits and 6 totally new traits expand on the vanilla mechanics.

Artillery Leaders:

Artillery dispersion has been increased except for the worst pieces and for mortars and mlrs. The only way to buff your artillery to be accurate as vanilla is either through radio or the new artillery leaders that finally offer a bonus unique to artillery.

3 New trait for infantry units
✭Militia and ✭CQC specialist and ✭airbornes:

Militia is a negative for deck such as Armia krajowa or Nov with cheap units (those deck have been buffed in other ways) take more damage and do not have a speed bonus but are cheaper this combat malus disappear with enough veterancy. Airbornes is max suppression bonus and regen bonus for now but may get expanded upon later.

CQC Specialist are all the SMG team that were sometimes hard to use in vanilla compared to pionier here they get a nice survivability at close range and a stealth buff.

4 traits expanded upon with orders or other perks: ✭Fanatical and ✭Raider.Discipline. and ✭Disheartened

Raiders can infiltrate enemy lines like recons if they want for several minutes.
Fanatical can have a last Stand order they will fight to the death giving them a combat buff but making them take more damage.
Discipline unit assure that your units have the maximum influence on the battlefield.
Disheartened have less maximum suppression and influence than regular troops, but not as much suppression malus in their influence as vanilla.

3 New trait for Recons units
Vehicle Awareness buffs vehicle with an aura similar to leader up to 250m for the maximum veterancy only vehicle can give this buff to other vehicles.
Guns Awareness buffs AT and Support Guns range up to 250m
Only some light vehicles like motorbikes can have both to give them an use.
If you fear this is too strong Smoke is as important as ever it’s more numerous and its duration has been increased.

Finally ✭ Elite combat Recon buffs the survivability of some of the squads that are supposed to do recon in force and give them range bonus once they get veterancy.

Tank destroyer ambush tactics:
The only vehicle trait right now in the mod, only open top tank destroyers have a passive buff that makes them more accurate and once immobile, with recon it makes it very deadly for tanks to cross an open field unsupported. They get more stealth with veterancy but beware once they get the bonus their attack move is blocked and you have to use move or drive back to disable it!

Last but not least.
New mechanics totally new in the wargame series!:
✭Recovery vehicles, supply trucks double as recovery vehicles when given veterancy..
Ability to capture enemy vehicles once those either surrender or are abandoned by their crew.

Quality of life:
  • Better unit labels.
  • Betteraiming reticule.
  • Totally fixed transport snipe.
  • Vehicle HP displayed in the name of the unit or in the interface for planes.
  • Improved on the elevation bug by increasing the angle at which the gun can fire.
  • Improved los tool and improved los in town.
  • Stealth and optic shown in number value

Well if I have enough time I would like to reboot the mod instead of updating this because the changes made with MOS make half of the trait redondant, morver I would like to wait for the last dlc.
