Introduction
This game is entirely linear. Even if it looks like there are lots of ways to go, they lead to the same place or to dead ends. Therefore most of the time I'll just tell you to follow the goal marker if there's nothing interesting between your current location and the destination.

Ammo and health is replenished at the start of every level.
Prologue
There's not much to say here, follow the street and watch some cutscenes.
Old City -- 19 December 09:01
Watch the cutscene.
Administration of Old City -- 19 December 10:12
  • Objective: Find the conference room.

Enter the Accountant room on the right. Approach the photos on the bulletin board on the right wall.

Exit and continue down the hall to the end and into a fancy looking area on the right.
Look at the book on the nearest table.

Exit the fancy area and return the way we came.
Opposite the Accountant room is a large open area. Open the door to find stairs leading up.

Upstairs, follow the goal marker to the Conference Room.
Watch the cutscene.

  • Objective: Leave the building.

There's no reason to ever turn off SMARTY. Leave it on for the rest of the game.

Main Streets -- 19 December 11:22
  • Objective: Get to the ruins.

Walk forward.

Follow the goal markers to the ruins.

Take the stairs down and approach the well for a cutscene.
Alleys of Old City -- Time Unknown

Turn right and follow the alley until a dead end with a green tarpaulin and two dumpsters. On the wall here is the first Wall Text [1/5].


Return the way you came and into the narrow alley.

  • Objective: Find the way out.

Follow the linear path until a checkpoint and see Bahar run out in front of you.
Ignore her for now and go down the path she came from for another Wall Text [2/5].


Follow Bahar until she runs off again. You should be at number 26. Turn right and follow the vine covered wall until the next Wall Text [3/5] behind another vine covered wall.


Follow the goal marker and approach Bahar.

After the surprise, continue down the alley until some very short stairs on the right leading up. Up here is another Wall Text [4/5].


Follow the goal marker and pick up the axe. Use it to destroy the lock on the gate.

Retrace your steps (past the second Wall Text) and destroy the lock on the next gate.
Continue on your way, not much happens.

  • Objective: Find the well.

Immediately after the QTE cutscene, turn ~135 degrees left and look up to find the last Wall Text [5/5] of this area.

Continue down the road next to the wall text until a checkpoint, then another lengthy QTE sequence.
Walk Through the Old City --- 19 December 14:12
Long cutscene.

  • Objective: Find the Caravansary Multani.

Goal marker > cutscene.

Run behind the emblem towards the wall where there's a fenced off police car on the right.

Go in the opposite direction of the police car to the other end.
Down into the nearby alley. Follow to three men playing backgammon. It looks like there are lots of ways to go, but they're all dead ends.

Continue through the winding alleys to the next goal.

  • Objective: Find the entry to catacombs.

Enter the narrow path (ignore the way left for now) and through the double doors at the end. Approach the shiny red light on the table.

  • Objective: Open the well.

Go down the path we ignored earlier and down the stairs to the well.
Catacombs -- Time Unknown

  • Objective: Reach lower floors.

Follow the only way until the very obvious Wall Text [1/6].


Look at the bottle on the floor in the other corner of this room.

Continue past the Wall Text to grab the Makarov pistol, then further until you fall down to the lower level.

Turn around to find the next Wall Text [2/6].


Follow the goal marker until you kill the first snake.
(28/45) [Characters: Snake added to Encyclopedia]

Find stairs leading further down (checkpoint) and cross the bridge below.


  • Objective: Explore catacombs.

At the end of the bridge, turn right to a Wall Text [3/6].


Past the text is a fork. Go right to an area with stairs leading up, where a bunch of zombies will attack. Further along are more zombies and snakes...

(29/45) [Characters: Shirvanshah Palace's captive added to Encyclopedia]

At the cells will be a the cutscene.

Run forward to the furthest cells, turn right to see a zombie and Wall Text [4/6].


Go back and pull the lever at the goal marker.

Return to the fork past the third Wall Text and down the other path.
At the next fork, grab the key on the fancy rug.

Go towards the goal a little until the screen shakes.

Return to the previous fork to find the gate now open. Proceed until a fight against a sword fighter. Attack him with the axe until he vanishes and the music stops. Beyond that is the next Wall Text [5/6].


Follow the goal marker now and through the door.


  • Objective: Find the exit from catacombs.

Kill anything that moves until you cross a bridge and go up some stairs.
In the back left of this area is the last Wall Text [6/6].

Follow the goal marker, killing anything in your way and exit the Catacombs.
Palace of the Shirvanshahs -- 19 December 19:00

Walk forward.

Forward > cutscene. Goal marker > cutscene.

  • Objective: Find friezes.

Walk forward to where there are more stone slabs to a cutscene about the Dragon symbol.

Return to the first slab and down the nearby stairs for a cutscene about the Sun symbol.
Walk under the arch in this small area as well.
(33/45) [Locations: Mausoleum of Seyid Yahya Bakuvi added to Encyclopedia]

Go to the opposite side of this whole area (past where you turned left towards the goal marker earlier) to find the Sword symbol.

  • Objective: Go to the bath's ruins.

Follow the goal marker.
Shirvanshahs' Bath Houses -- 19 December 19:30
Boss fight!

The werewolf's weakpoint is its back. Retreat when it's attacking you and shoot it when it runs away from you. You can also place a wall between you and it and melee it through the wall. Repeat until it's dead.
The zombie that spawn occasionally drop ammo.

  • Objective: Find accessible well.

Check to make sure everything else is dead as well.

Before finding the well, find the only Wall Text [1/1] of this area. With your back to where you entered the area, it's on the right wall.

Now you can approach the well with the grate covering.

Sabail Castle -- Time Unknown

Enter the castle.

  • Objective: Find the remaining frieze.

As you enter, on the right is Wall Text [1/2].


Follow the right wall to a cutscene with the last stone symbol.

  • Objective: Return to the old city.

Follow the goal marker until some stairs leading up to an ominous open area. DO NOT go up these stairs yet!

Facing the stairs, on the left is a Wall Text [2/2].

Facing the stairs again, behind you on the right is a lit alcove with a skeleton and shotgun.
    Now I'm happy!
      • Shotgun found



Now go up the stairs and down into the arena.

Boss fight again!

The witch will split into multiple clones and attack you. The real copy is the one wearing a shiny green necklace. Shoot her. Kill zombies for the occasional ammo. Repeat.
    Burn, witch!

Streets of Old City -- Time Unknown
  • Objective: Return to the real world.

At the #6 street sign (note the explosive canister), go right and down the alley to some zombies. Let them see you, retreat to the #6 street sign and shoot the explosive canister to kill one of the zombies.
This isn't the only opportunity for the achievement. There'll be plenty of explosives scattered everywhere for the rest of the game. Keep this in mind and kill 5 more zombies with explosives for another achievement.
    Firestarter
      • Killing via auxiliary subject

    Pyromaniac
      • Many enemies were killed by explosion



Return to where the zombies were and follow that way to a cutscene with the sword dude cutting down some zombies.
Past that is a Wall Text [1/6] at the #21 sign.


Continue along, use the axe to fight the sword dude again and follow the path. At ~80 metres from the goal, you'll see some stairs. Ignore the stairs an go left to a Wall Text [2/6].


Up the stairs is the next Wall Text [3/6] by some scaffolding.


Past the scaffolding is a checkpoint and stairs down to an area with some tables. Ignore the stairs for now and find a dumpster close by with the next Wall Text [4/6].
Follow the path to the end to find the Nagant. Grab it for the achievement, but swap back to the shotgun.
    Cool guy
      • Nagant found


Going down the stairs earlier spawns some monsters, so kill them all with the shotgun. Return for the Nagant now if you'd like.

Continue fighting more zombies until the #44 sign. Going left here leads to a Wall Text [5/6].


Past the text is a linear path to the next checkpoint. A large bunch of zombies will attack here.

After the battle are two health pickups, and beyond that is a Wall Text [6/6].

Continue to an open area and the next boss fight.

If you have the ammo, you can permanently stunlock it by shooting it in the eye. Otherwise you'll need to kite around him to avoid his attacks and attack with the axe whenever possible. The battle is about as jank as you'd expect, not much more I can add.

Central Streets -- 20 December 17:00
  • Objective: Meet with Bahar

Follow the path. Cutscene. Checkpoint.

  • Objective: Find the bath.

Follow goal marker.

Road to Maiden Tower -- 21 December 20:21
  • Objective: Reach the Maiden Tower.

Follow the goal marker. Kill zombies. Kill sword dude. You know the drill.

At the next checkpoint is a fork. Go left first following the sword dude.
At ~85 meters from the goal will be the #8 street sign. Enter the alley on the right to a Wall Text [1/5].
There's a shotgun in the #8 street sign area as well.

Return to the fork at the checkpoint and go the other way. Past the #23 street sign will be a obvious Wall Text [2/5] up high.


Continue along this path another group of zombies spawn in and snakes behind yuou. Take the next two 90 degree left turns to the next Wall Text [3/5].


This next section is stupid. As you continue down the path away from the previous wall text your focus will be drawn to a falling crane and a bunch of zombies will spawn - except these have massive amounts of health and are nearly indestructable.

Luckily this can be solved by exploiting the pathfinding. As soon as you see the crane fall, sprint forward and left into the alley. Hide in the behind the waist high fences. Stand as far back as you can and wait for the zombies to come. Usually one will make it to your side of the fence, and then you just gotta be lucky. Stay here until everything is dead.

I'm not sure how to do this part legit or if these zombies are even meant to be killed, but not killing them might make getting the last two Wall Texts difficult.

After killing everything, continue into the alley at the far end of the open area. There's two health pickups here and Wall Text [4/5] is nearby.


Just past the previous text is another Wall Text [5/5] on the left. It's near a flipped car.

Boss fight!

This fight is extremely finicky. The melee combat in this game can hardly be considered good and your enemy is makes it so much more annoying. It plays out pretty much the same as all the previous fights against him. There's not much skill involved, just stand still and let him come to you or walk towards him and swing when you're in range. Get lucky and it might connect.

Head upstairs.

  • Objective: Reach the top of tower.

Through the doorway to a lengthy QTE sequence.

Immediately after regaining control is a Wall Text [1/1] on your right.

Continue up the stairs to the final boss.

Hide behind the central pillar as the dragon breathes fire on you from above.
Once it lands, run in attack from the side with the sword. It might turn to attack you, but stay away from its mouth and you won't take much damage. Use strong attacks to deal massive damage. Repeat until dead.

Final cutscene. Final decision. Replay the last level for the other decision achievement afterwards.

After loading in, select two weapons needed for achievements. Kill some mobs. Repeat.

Thanks for the guide! I'd like to add that if you load a level's checkpoint without having fully collected all the wall texts then it counter is reset to zero, and you need to collect all the wall texts again for the current achievement.
