Shaders with RGB glow

The age of beautiful shaders has passed. It's the 21st century, so you can add RGB glow on guns! I heard that it even increases your efficiency

Today we’re going to talk about shaders with RGB glow.

Oiled Gunmetal and others

To begin with, let’s look at Oiled Gunmetal. This shader replaces light of a weapon with RGB glow. Colors are changing quickly during that. Going forward, this will become specifically noticeable in comparison to second shader.



Oiled Gunmetal best covers guns from the Nine, but they don’t restrict abilities of this shader. For example, it adds a (small) RGB bulb to Fractethyst shotgun.

If your RGB glow don’t work, set Shadow quality on the lowest and restart the game.

Kind commentators say that there are two more shaders which add RGB to your guns. The first one is Skele-ghaul. The second one is Basalt Toxic. They were dropping from Halloween, so I don't have them for a test, I'm sorry :c

Iridescent Coral

Unlike the previous shader Iridescent Coral works with a larger number of guns. Weapons from Vault of Glass, guns from the Nine, Death Adder, Stochastic Variable, The Forward Path and The Guiding Sight belong to it. However, colors are changing here much slower than in Oiled Gunmetal.



Besides, a color of glow depends on a location. Sometimes it doesn’t change at all.

Hi and thank you for this post - even though i'm a bit late to it. Add in the shader "Photo Finish" - will also give RGB to certain ships and gear as well. This one was sold in Eververse for brightdust during the Guardian Games.

ive been trying to GET OILED GUNMETAL forever now i just want eververse to sell its also its a great alternative to gambit jadestone if you dont have it since it gives of a bright green glow plus rgb on guns

Only recently found out about these funky little effects, thanks for enlightening me!

You'll be able to buy Basalt Toxic for bright dust on week 8 of the season (starts on the 12th of October). Iridescent Coral and Oiled Gunmetal drop from bright engrams (I wouldn't count on that). Skele-ghaul, to the best of my knowledge, is unavailable in the foreseeable future
