Craving more Map Labs for Portal 2? No worries, we're back! A spin-off to one of our previous competitions for Half-Life 2, Scene Better Days: An Eye Candy Experiment is a simple theme: We asked creators to put together a small, simple visual scene. No gameplay required! Unlike most of our events, Scene Better Days is not a competition, and does not feature winners - the point is practice!

This jam ran from 7th Aug. 2021 to 22nd. Aug. 2021, with no bonus time. It received 16 entries!

Scene Better Days is an "unofficial" Map Labs jam and features a different roster of judges: AdaG//Adakam, Adroon, Chris W, & Ciefstatten.

I'd like to use this lil space to thank all of our entrants for joining in the SBD (not Square Button Days!) festivities - even without a prize or winners, we got a pretty nice number of entrants. And, of course, the volunteer judges Ada, Adroon, and Ciefstatten for hopping on. Here's hoping we can do this again in the future! But as another competition.
