JNR WaRa 1, WaMu 60000 and WaMu 70000 covered wagon

The Japanese National Railways' WaRa 1 is 17-ton covered wagon that was introduced in 1962. It was built on the basis of the 15-tonne-loading WaMu 70000, introduced in 1958, and the WaMu 60000, introduced in 1960. In WaRa 1 is order to improve transportation capacity, the car body was made as large as possible as a general-purpose two-axle covered wagon.

Update 6/30/2023: WaMu 60000 and WaMu 70000 have been added. The WaRa 1 has increased capacity to 11 from the previous 9. There is also a variant of an express freight train that operated until the October 1968 timetable revision.
