Quirk Tierlist Reference Guide

Kuvaus
Brief Description:
This mod replaces the Credits screen of the game with a quick reference guide based on Dera112's Tierlist for Darkest Dungeon.[docs.google.com]

Why/How I made this:
I made this mostly for myself because I found myself needing some of that info in-game to quickly check which tier a particular quirk belongs to.
In order to accomplish this, I needed somewhere to place the huge quirk list so that it can be accessed pretty much everywhere in-game, so I ended up sacrificing the Credits section since you can always access the game menu (the button will still say 'Credits' though). This means you can check this info from within the Hamlet, the Quest Selection screen, the Provision screen, during dungeon exploration and even during combat if you need to, the only place where it won't work is the Main Menu of the game, since the game doesn't load mods until you load a save. In a way it's better this way, it didn't feel right removing the Credits from the game entirely, I am a game developer myself and as such I firmly believe in giving credit where credit is due, and the developer from Red Hook Studios Inc. deserve all the credit for their game.

What this mod is and isn't:
This is by no means a replacement for that guide, mostly because there are two major differences:
- His tierlist has a brief explanation on the reasoning behind each quirk in each tier, why it's there, why in that order, which classes benefit the most/least from each quirk, etc, whereas my reference guide doesn't have those explanations (for lack of space), it only has a huge list of all the quirks grouped in the same tiers that he used.
- His tierlist has a particular order for quirks *within* each tier, further classifying them based on their important/impact in the game, whereas my reference guide has all quirks within each tier arranged alphabetically, in order to quickly find a quirk when I need to.

In a way, I see my Reference Guide as a sort of complement to be used alongside his tierlist, once you are familiar with his reasoning and why he classified the quirks the way he did, you don't necessarily need ALL that reasoning all the time, sometimes you just need a quick reminder whether a particular quirk is S-Tier, A-Tier, or B-Tier for example.

How should this mod be used then?
First, if you are unfamiliar with his tierlist, I would suggest:
1st. Read his tierlist here.[docs.google.com]
2nd. Ideally, watch these three videos as well, which explain the tierlist itself and have in-depth explanations for everything he wrote there.
- Quirk Tierlist (S and A-tier quirks) - Darkest Dungeon
- Quirk Tierlist (B and C-tier quirks) - Darkest Dungeon
- Quirk Tierlist (D, E, and F-tier quirks) - Darkest Dungeon
- (Bonus in case you want a better understanding for each class) Darkest Dungeon Class Reviews
3rd. Download my mod if you want a way in-game to quickly check quirks alphabetically within a tier. Once downloaded, remember to enable the mod, load your save, and then just simply access the 'Credits' section from the game menu.

This way you'll be able to have a nice quick Reference Guide, but also be able to understand which quirks are more important/impactful *within* each tier based on his explanations.

Last notes:
I tried my best to check the quirks info in-game and using the wiki, but if you find a typo or that I missed something let me know and I'll try to keep it updated.

Finally, just a fyi: I did try to edit the credits text information to see if I could include all the info from the tierlist guide, but unfortunatelly I couldn't find a way to edit the credits.cdt file, which is why I went with the image editing approach. The 'Back' button is still functional though, but I had to reposition it to fit the information better.

Changelog:
v1.0: Initial release.
v1.1: Added 'Spiritual' positive quirk to the C-tier section.
v1.2: Fixed typos.
v1.3: Reuploaded.

Credits:
- Dera112 for creating an amazing quirk tierlist to help guide players on which quirks to lock and get rid of.
- Red Hook Studios Inc. developers for creating such a wonderful game.

@Wesker: I don't know of any mods that clasify trinkets according to tiers or stuff like that. Would be interesting to make as a mod though, but at the moment I'm not aware of any mod that does that.

Hey there Kevkas was wondering if theres a similar mod to something maybe for Trinkets? I am really bad at figuring out whats good or not.

I would dissagree with the F tier though, they add stuff if the character would happen to get under 50% hp it doesn't make them worse in any way and it is better to just merge with E tier since they are just things that you are not going to lock in but will just dissapear into a better quirk given enough time. Yes I know that it might stray a bit from dera112's tierlist but the describtion "litterly makes your character worse" would imply to some that you would need to remove it, which you never want to do with positive quirks because its pointless.

It means that winded is definetly not a quirk that you need to remove as soon as you see it, theres definetly worse out there, the if hp below 50% mostly comes into play after turn 1, the most important turn of a fight since you want to burst down or at least stun 1 or more enemys in order to decrease the chance to get absolutely destroyed by some of the stronger enemys out there and you almost always stall a bit towards the end of a fight anyways to heal hp/stress which is one of the most important things to do in quests to keep your survivability at a maximum.

oh in the case of low Hp your healer can go before them to heal them up. if you ask me its kinda Meh. i always give speed trinkets to my healers anyways so to my play style winded is still a downright detrement

@gee_imma_tree: check Dera's reasoning in his tierlist and particularly in his first video, I left the links to both in the description. :cozybethesda:
