Presenting the KM NAIAD
Based on the Kirby Marine NAIAD rescue RHIB, the Kahrstrom Marine NAIAD is a highly capable rescue craft equipped with two powerful 300hp outboard engines capable of bringing the boat all the way up to 50 knots. With its sturdy design and actively stabilized hull, no storm is too tough. The manual trim system offers maximum control together with the modern displays featuring a plotter with radar overlay as well as an easy to use engine control display made by Kahrstrom Marine.

Features
  • Stable base hull with active stabilization when under way.
  • Plotter with radar overlay.
  • Comprehensive display showing speed in knots, depth under keel, bearing (0-360 degrees).
  • Realistic nav-lights including RAM, NUC, anchor, under way and tow lights.
  • Adjustable trim system for optimizing speed and stability during changing conditions.
  • Outboards with trim that can be lifted out of the water to prevent corrosion.
  • Kahrstrom Marine engine display that showcases RPM, engine temperature, fuel and a warning system for these.
  • Firefighting pump for putting out fires fast and efficiently.
  • Automatic heating system for cold weather conditions.
  • VHF Radio with DSC (activates emergency beacon).
  • Automatic bilge pump.
  • Emergency blue lights.
  • Tow hook.
  • Plenty of work- and spotlights all around the boat to illuminate anything in the dark of night.
  • Realistic nav lights.
  • Beds for two.
  • Equipment for any situation you may stumble upon during a SAR mission.
  • Fits in Beginner Island dock.

Specifications
Fuel: 2x 984 l.
Range: 98 km @ 50 knots top speed / 123 km @ 38 knots cruise speed
Top Speed: 50 knots
Length: 11.50 m (hull) / 12.50 m (full length)
Beam: 4.75 m
Weight: 3224 kg (dry weight)
Cost: $48954

Start-up Procedure
1. Turn the main power key located in the roof. All displays and background lights should turn on.
2. Lower the outboard engines down with the labelled push button on your right side control panel.
3. Start the engines by pressing 1 and 2 on the engine control display.
4. Increase the throttle by pressing W or manually on the throttle stick itself.
5. Adjust the trim to the situation. For high speed and good fuel efficiency, trim all the way up. For rough weather and slow driving, trim down.

Notes
  • Infinite fuel can not be turned on or the boat won't start! Quite frankly I don't know why, it's something that's always been the case with modulars in my experience. I'm not gonna try to work around game bugs for such a little thing. Sorry.
  • For rough weather, trim the boat down for more stability. During calm conditions, trim it up for higher speed and better fuel economy.
  • To start the fire pump, turn the key by the floor marked with the large Fire symbol.

That's a great review, glad to hear it's working well for you!

this is by far the best RHIB on the workshop

Huh, never had that happen. SW can be weird sometimes. Glad you're enjoying it anyways!

I'm digging this (as I dig all your works), but I opened the cabin and it immediately filled with water and began to sink, lol. Did I miss a step? Can that just happen from waves?

edit: I tried again and it didn't flood. Must have been a fluke!

Hmm, never had that issue myself... Make sure you're using the highest physics settings, that could cause such problems.

I dont know if you know or not, but sometime the outboards get stuck together and mess up which can cause it to capsize with infinite fuel

I love your ship, and use it all the time in career, but made some modifications (winch, larger below deck area etc.) and want to know if your okay with me uploading it to the workshop. I will give full credit.

No autopilot, but it does have a heading hold feature. This is mostly due to size constraints - I find that autopilot is mostly used as a heading hold anyways, so in this case I decided to prioritize other features instead. Thanks for your feedback and kind words :)

Does this thing have auto pilot? if not you should add it because that would be a helpful feature. other than that this is a beautiful ship and it is great for career mode.
