Description
The 6K electric locomotive is an electric locomotive that the Ministry of Railways of the People’s Republic of China ordered from Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Japan and Mitsubishi Electric through international bidding in order to meet the needs of electrified railways in the Zhengzhou-Baoji section of the Longhai Railway in the 1980s. There are 85 electric locomotives in total, all of which belong to Zhengzhou. Used by Luoyang Locomotive Depot of Railway Bureau. The 6K electric locomotive is a six-axis phase-controlled AC-DC drive electric locomotive, using Bo-Bo-Bo shaft type, three-stage unequal half-control bridge voltage regulating circuit, compound excitation traction motor, and microcomputer control system.
