Decay of Logos: Echo shell Locations

In this guide, I will give you all of the locations of the 37 echo shells scattered around this game.

Introduction

This is the second of the 4 guides I'll be making for this game, this time I will be focusing on the echo shells found throughout the world of this game. The guide will show both locations of the echo shell and the text/Author of the text after listening to the echo shell.

SPOILERS AHEAD

There will be spoilers for this game as well as spoiling the location of these echo shells. Turn off the guide if you want to find these on your own. Come to this guide if you are stuck for hours on end and trying to find the last of the echo shells.

Amnis Sanctum

Location #1: Brielle - Echo VII / This is located at the very beginning of this level when you jump over the giant chasm. You cannot miss it.

Arx Vetro

Location #1: Amoz - Echo VII / This is located at the beginning of this level over at a room with a narrow pit.

Bosk of Silens

Location #1: Brielle - Echo I / This is between the draw bridge and the gates to the tunnel leading to the Gates of Affinitas.

Gate of Affinitas

Location #1: Brielle - Echo II / This is located first thing as you enter this level.


Location#2: Brielle - Echo III / This is past the statues near the second switch of the gate.


Location #3: Brielle - Echo IV / slide under the crevasse and follow the path to the switch to activate the pedestal for the gate to open.

Hallowed Plains of Turrim

Location #1: Brielle - Echo V / This is located first thing as you enter the Sacred Plains before passing the Aqueduct.


Location #2: Brielle - Echo VI / Just go further towards the tower before passing the Aqueduct.


Location #3: Ethos - Echo I / This is located on the shoulder of the hill leading to the high valley behind a wall.


Location #4: Brielle - Echo VII / This is located in one of the ruins in the high valley (not close to the steam valve tower.)


Location #5: Brielle - Echo IX / This is located at the lift in the great tower to the boss fight (completely unmissable.)


Location #6: Ethos - Echo II / This is on top of the great tower in this region at the floor where the boss fight with Ethos activates. (you have to beet the boss and climb back up here for both the echo shell and Ethos's shield, the helmet is located withing the middle of the high valley with Ethos's corpse lying limply with his face in the dirt.)


Location #7: Yoran - Echo II / Just look within the ruins at the Steam Valve tower in the high valley.

Hamlet of Fons

Location #1: Yaron - Echo III / Whilst this is located in an easy-to-spot location, it only spawns after defeating all three princes.

Howling Rift

Location #1: Pathos - Echo I / This is located on the left side of the entrance to Primus Sanctum

Leatus Grove

Location #1: Yaron - Echo I / Check the sides of Arbor Sanctum to find this echo shell.


Location #2: Eitan - Echo I / This is located in the forested part of this level in a stone shrine. This will usually be your first if you did not find the other Echo shell first. You cannot miss it because it is on the path leading out of this high valley.

Primus Sanctum

Location #1: Pathos - Echo II / After the boss fight With Prince Pathos, it should be located behind the boss arena where the bookshelves are.

Sacred Grounds of Palus

Location #1: Amoz - Echo I / Check around the beginning of this level before heading into the swamps.


Location #2: Amoz - Echo II / Once you enter the swamp, there should be a ruin to your right. Climb the ladders and go to the ground behind the stone steps. A tree will show you the back area of this ruin, and there will be a ladder to climb back out.


Location #3: Amoz - Echo III / This is located in the second ruins with the crane on the very top.


Location #4: Amoz - Echo IV / Just before the resting shrine, there will be a narrow part of the level clustered with crumbling ruins and scattered scaffolding. Climb the scaffolding pathway to this echo shell overlooking the sink hole of Arx Vetro (remember that the two levers to leave this level are in the caves close to Arx Vetro and one of the chests inside the Arx itself.)


Location #5: Amoz - Echo VI / This is near the end of the lever where the second boss is located.


Location #6: Amoz - Echo V ? After defeating the Royal Armored Knight, the echo shell will be located near the second entrance to the caverns as well as a dead Ancestral brute.

Vallis Sanctum

Location #1: Liori - Echo I / Just take the ramp up the the Ancestral Brute at the beginning of the level.


Location #2: Liori - Echo II / Check the all of the rooms around the second or third floor to find this


Location #3: Liori - Echo III / This is located on the bottom most floor within the cylindrical room central to the entire level.


Location #4: Liori - Echo VII / Just before exiting Vallis Sanctum, check the pathway blocked off by internal collapse, very easy to find.

Vorago Palace

Location #1: Kairos - Echo I / This is located past the hedge maze guarded by a Royal Armored Guard.


Location #2: ??? - Echo I / After moving the painting of the queen out of the way (in a room with a Royal Armored Guard leading to the garden with the hedge maze,) continue forward till you reach the room with a research station and the sketch of the Elk that floors you throughout the game.

Wabi of the Howling Rift

Location #1: Liori - Echo V / After exiting the Vallis Sanctum, make a left towards what seems to be an innocuous cliff side until you reach the a sharp ledge leading you towards the echo shell. The walk way is a bit hidden, but not hard to find.


Location #2: Liori - Echo IV / Within the Wadi, there will be an Ancestral Brute who is under a natural arc, defeat him and claim the echo near by.


Location #3: Nuri - Echo I / This will be located on your pathway to Yaron and one of the golden masks of the Wadi.


Location #4: Liori - Echo VI / This is on the highest part of the Wadi nearing the Child with one of the golden masks needed to progress.


Location #5: Liori - Echo IX / After defeating Prince Kairos and Mother Reba, go into the caves where you will find this echo shell.


Location #6: Reba - Echo I / This one is also past the Prince Kairos and Mother Reba boss fight. You just need a key found within Arx Stratera to open the cage with the children inside.


Location #7: Liori - Echo VIII / This will be found next to the broken lift at the entrance to the Price Kiaros and Mother Reba boss fight.

Conclusion

These are all of the 37 echo shell locations for the achievement. I hope this helps any completionists who decided to pick up this game. I want to end this with a bit of trivia about this guide and the chest location guide. I actually managed to get both of these achievements simultaneously (Yaron - Echo II and the chest behind the tower with a steam elevator guarded by three cyclopes bees) whilst searching the high valley of the Sacred Plain. I also accidentally deleted my first save file forcing me to start the game all over again from the beginning, but this was to the benefit to the guide as it kept all of the information organized and accurate when documenting ever chest, ancestor stone, and echo shells in this game.
