Comprehensive guide for Cayo Perico "speedrun" (~1.5M$/hour)

You'll learn how to rob the ♥♥♥♥ out of El Rubio for the sweet ~1.5 million GTA$ in a hour. Text + Video guides.

Requirements.

WARNING : This is the "vanilla" way. I won't cover any glitches, in order to make this guide live longer, as well as to keep the glitches unpatched as long as possible.

In order to do this heist, you will obviously need a submarine (as well as a penthouse to buy it). However, if you want to go even faster, you may want to buy the following :

- a Sparrow : submarine-compatible helicopter that allows you to travel quickly between the objectives and the sub. Cost : $1,815,000



- a Phantom Wedge : a semi-trailer well-known for its high overall speed and for its large wedge on the front. It will come in handy when stealing the Longfish. Cost : $2,553,600/$1,920,000



Therefore, not counting the submarine, you will need at least $3,735,000 in order to do the heist as fast as possible.

You will also need the basement's drainage tunnel entrance. If you don't have it yet, check out this 2 minutes-long video and scope it out while doing the "Gathering Intel" part.

In addition, I highly recommend you to have a mouse whose sensitivity can be changed quickly, going from normal to super-high. You'll understand why. One more pro-tip : I suggest you to always leave your sub at Vespucci Beach (except for the intel gathering mission).

I. Gather Intel

Here is the most annoying part (in my opinion) : gathering intel at Cayo Perico.

Disclaimer : I'm gonna assume you did the Cayo Perico heist at least ONCE. If you never did it before, discover the introducing mission by yourself, and then, come back milking the ♥♥♥♥ out of Rubio here.

First thing first : open the Interaction Menu (by pressing M on a qwerty keyboard) and change your spawning location to your submarine. Then, in your submarine, get to the planning table and pay the $25,000 fee to start the heist and launch the "Gather Intel" mission.

No need to exit the sub : go to your pilot seat, press Space for fast-travelling, and go to the closest location to your objective. Leave the sub with your Sparrow, land near the plane, kill the bad guys, get in the Velum.



Head to the objective at the south of the map (yes it's far). CAUTION : if you're not teleported to the island after reaching the objective, keep flying, and don't worry about drowning. GTA is quite laggy you know, it happens from time to time.

Once you're in the island, follow the same path as me in the video. If you get spotted with your bike, use a Jeep or a truck until you reach the watchtower with the metallic door, then walk.

**NOTE** : I highly suggest you to scope out the secondary loot in the hangar (and the other location if needed) ! This way, you can avoid wasting time during the heist if there isn't any loot.

If everything's according to the plan, you'll be near the communication tower. Find the communication box which you have to pirate. Then pirate it (I never understood how this damn minigame works). Once you've pirated it, go to the nearest guard and get spotted.

You'll get thrown back to the starting point. Launch the phone app and spam the Right Arrow until you're watching the basement. Then change your mouse's sensitivity to the "super-extra-high" or something mode, and look all the way to the left until you notice the objective. Immediately after, don't wait for Pavel to finish talking, exit the phone and go back to Los Santos.

II. The Longfin Mission + Other missions

1) The Longfin Mission

Once you're back in your sub, choose the Longfin as an approach vehicle and start the mission. Get in your Sparrow and go to the objective.

Put your sparrow on the ground and request your Phantom Wedge by using the Interaction Menu. Get inside it, reverse gear and tow the boat trailer. Leave the police station, get back inside of your sparrow, evade the cops (Lester doesn't work unfortunately), get back in your Phantom Wedge and deliver the boat to the objective located around the south-east of the map.

Alternate path : Go to the Elysian Island immediatly after getting the trailer, kill yourself to evade the cops and deliver the boat.

Don't waste time ! Wait 15 seconds for the mission to fully complete, then change session. You'll spawn back in your submarine.

2) The other missions

Now you will do all equipment-related missions, except the explosives mission.

All of the following missions go by the relatively same pattern : Go to the objective with Sparrow, destroy cameras, kill the bad guys, pirate thing if you need to pirate OR take photo if you need to take photo OR pick up thingy if you need to pick up thingy, go to the 2nd objective + kill the bad guys if needed, deliver the equipment to the sub and do the next mission !

If you ever get a mission related to Merryweather, just switch sessions to avoid it. It's a pain, trust me.

III. The Cayo Perico heist

The longest part of the heist, and yet, it feels like the shortest part...
Launch the heist (alone, or with friends, although I will mainly cover what to do if you're alone).
Select Longfish, Main Entry, Drainage Tunnel, any escape point (you'll see why it doesn't matter), Day, whatever layout you chose with silencers.

Part 1 : The Airport

Now start ! Immediately after joining Cayo Perico, go reverse gear, turn left and head to the airport. Put your boat on the sand, but not too far from the water, so that it slowly goes back into the ocean. Head immediately to the hangar, and kill the guard in front of it.



Run to the left back corner and get in the forklift. Lift the nearest pile of boxes and park towards the locked iron doors (not in front of them, just next to them). Unlock the doors, get the cash/drugs, get out and jump on the forklift, get to the hidden area, get the remaining cash/drugs, exit the airport by going back to your boat !

Part 2 : The Compound

Go to the compound, and swim to the drainage tunnel. PRESS G FOR OXYGEN. Now, put your mouse on high-sensitivity mode and destroy the grid as quick as possible. Swim up and get inside of the compound.

Here is a map of the compound. The green line is your path. The red stars are the guards you need to kill. Avoid being spotted at all costs. The yellow dots (which were already on the picture, totally didn't steal the image from some website, haha... ha) shows you the Combat Shotgun spawn locations. Pick it up and you'll be able to buy it at Ammu-Nation.



Go to the main building by following the path and killing guards with headshots. Once in Rubio's office, check the safe, open the desk if you have the small key, pirate the elevator and go underground. If your item is in the safe : Use the code Pavel sent you. If your item is behind a window, break it by pressing PgUp, wait for cooldown, PgUp, wait for cooldown...

Now go to the main gate and leave. Kill the guard near the bike, ride the bike, rush to the coast, wait 30 seconds for a boat to come near. Steal the boat, but if you don't find any boats, just swim away from the island.

Alternate way (only found it out after the video) : Ride the bike, turn left and go past Rubio's helicopter, keep going straight, jump in the water and swim. It will be a bit faster.

IV. ????

Estimated elapsed time (if everything goes well, fast and smooth) :

- "Gather Intel" mission : 10 minutes
- Longfin mission : 5 minutes
- Safe code OR Plasma cutter mission : 4 minutes 30 seconds
- Fingerprint cloner mission : 5 minutes
- Cutting torch mission : 3 minutes 30 seconds
- Conspirator loadout : 3 minutes 20 seconds (do NOT accept anything related to Merryweather)
- The heist : 12-13 minutes (less if you use a boat when escaping or the alternate way)

Total : About 44 minutes and 20 seconds, + 10 minutes cooldown between each heist.
Note : This is only a rough estimation. You may take more time (or less, if you try hard enough).

V. Profit !

Last thing to do... Wait 10 minutes, then go to your sub as QUICK as possible (I recommend changing sessions) and immediately pay the $25k fee to set the heist on Hard mode ! It's not harder at all, it just gives you more money. Logic ? No, that word doesn't exist in Rockstar's vocabulary !

Enjoy your millions in less than a hour !

@♦FR♦-_-♠NaNoMister♠, yes, but the way i suggested is easier for all. You dont need to move your PC to get easier access to the ethernet cable, and you dont have to shut off internet off for everyone.

The replay glitch works in a pretty obvious way. Unlike car dupes, its easily comprehensible.
You need to have setups done (Duh) so you can access the finale.
After escaping cayo, tab out and open resmon as fast as possible (I recommend having it open before doing the heist so you can easily access it)
go to Network tab, find GTA5.exe, right click and hit suspend. Now hover over the confirmation, waiting for a "Transaction Pending" notification in the bottom right corner. Once you see it, wait for it to stop loading then click the confirmation.
One of these few things will happen
- Game will freeze (In which case you open task manager and kill the task.)
- Game will force you into story mode (Rare in my case)
You will only know the glitch worked when you load back into online, see that you have received payment, and you can replay heist without doing setups again.
