how to beat the pure vessel

what you need before the fight

i recommend the pure nail all mask upgrades all spell upgrades all nail arts and all charms.

charms i recommend (and why)

• Mark of pride+long nail. To help with pogoing safely and to mach his range.
  
  
• Heart. To keep you alive just that extra hit.
  
  
• Strength. Pure vessel is a very fast boss and you don't have many opportunities to attack. So more damage per hit is better than attacking faster.
  
  
• Sharp shadow. To get out of corners a while keeping the pressure on.
  
  
• Grubsong. You're going to get hit a lot so this can help with keeping the pressure on.
  
  
• Fury of the fallen. I noticed that i was at one health a lot so this was a way to take advantage of that.
  
  
• Thorns of agony+baldur shell. Note NEVER USE THESE CHARMS APART. Anyway if your in a pinch or a corner you can use this combo to escape.
  
  
• Quick focus+shape of unn. Again NEVER USE THESE CHARMS APART. These charms allow you to heal safely.
  
  What I build. i use mark of pride strength heart grubsong and fotf.
  

attacks (and how to avoid them)

:triple slash. slashes in the direction they are facing three times. to dodge this attack simply jump above it and strike down. and do the same for the lunge attack

:nail barrage. shoots a barrage of 12(?) nails in the direction they are facing. to dodge this attack simply shadow dash through one of the nails.

:soul pillars. teleports in the air and slams down into the ground summoning 12(?) pillars all across the map. to dodge this attack i have 2 strats depending on if you are in the air or not.

• :1 walk to a spot on the ground that is not glowing. ( the glowing spots are where the pillars come from)
  
• :2 wait until the boss pulls back his nail then jump in the air and pogo on the left or right depending on what side of the boss you are on.

:parry. the boss holds up his nail and flashes if you hit him while his nail is up he will retaliate and i you do hit him shadow dash through to dodge if not just don't him

:focus. the boss uses focus but instead of healing he summons a sphere of soul around him. after they're done casting lots of smaller spheres spawn around the map. to doge this attack dash out of the zone of the sphere and spam your cast like there is no tomorrow! (in the direction of the boss idot)

:void tenticals. the boss pulls up his cape and void tenticals come out. to dodge this attack jump and dash to the boss then pogo on top of them.
