(BNW) Urban Renewal and Sacred Cows

Описание
Partly inspired by BigGlare's and Krajzen's work, this mod makes growing a multi-city empire easier:

* Cities begin with 2 inhabitants (4 in the capital} and consume food at half the usual rate.
* Unhappiness from growing population is reduced by 25% for ALL civilizations.
* Unhappiness from building multiple cities is reduced by 25% for ALL civilizations.
* The multi-city penalty for adopting new social policies is reduced by 25%.
* The multi-city penalty for researching new technology is reduced by 25%.
* The minimum distance between cities has been reduced from 4 hexes to 3.

The mod also radically changes India's special trait:

* SACRED CATTLE doubles the number of Cattle found by the player. It also unlocks a unique improvement, the Gopachara or sacred cow pasture (see the in-game text for more details).
* Cows become a luxury resource, raising Happiness by 3 for each Pasture or Gopachara. Currently, all civilizations get the Happiness bonus; I'm still searching for a hack that would make it exclusive to India.

========

WARNING:

* This mod requires BOTH Civ5 expansion packs to work; it contains code (previously unavailable) that reduces Science penalties. If you don't have Brave New World, my original "Gods and Kings only" edition is still available here:

========

NOTE: Although it isn't strictly necessary to install other mods with this one, I recommend adding the following:

* Resource Pack -- Land Animals ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=241400416 )
* Resource Pack -- On-Map Generator ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=241234462 )

========

NEW IN THIS VERSION:

* Added support for the cattle breeds in Glacierheart's resource pack.
* Doubled the starting population for all civs' capital cities.
* Corrected bugs which kept two important files from loading.

I'm late in seeing this mod, so hopefully it still gets looked at XD

I like almost all of it except the minimum distance between cities. Is there any way to install this but remove/change that bit?

Thanks, this mod is really helpful, and it would be a shame to go without it just because of those hideous farms.

@Commissar BS: I'll try to get hejp fixing this bug. keep your fingers crossed!
Commissar BS 25 июн. 2014 г. в 10:35
Are you planning on fixing it?

@Commissar BS: It doesn't do that on purpose; that skin is an old glitch in the game itself. I don't know why my mod reverts farm graphics that way, though.

Hey, does this mod change the farm skin?

Ok. Thanks! It might be another mod I have. I will have to experiment some.

gabe2014: Unfortunately I have no idea of how to fix that; I'll have to ask the regulars at CivFanatics for help. Keep your fingers crossed!

My capital says it has 4 citizens, but only two can work tiles. Functionally, it behaves as if it has 2 citizens when it comes to gaining yields from tiles. For growth, it acts as if it has 4 citizens.

SplendidSandi: I did some searching through an English-Sanskrit online dictionary with a contextual database...told it to find the equivalent of "cow pasture". (More realistically, the cows that India *left alone* should have gotten that Food/FFaith bonus...but the game won't allow that kind of bonus without an Improvement, so I hunted for historical evidence of people in early India pasturing their cattle.
