Gilded Silver Sword

Description
I was just fiddling around with the color balance and this is what turned out. This is a light, quick silver sword. Swing speed: 1.3, Base Damage: 10 Weight: 2.8 lbs. This still has the silver weapon script, which does additional (20) damage to Undead, but I removed the display message to allow whatever enchantments to show up.

Found in a cubby in the Whiterun Hall of the Dead. Temperable with a silver ingot.

Enjoy. Feel free to use as you see fit, but please credit me if you use it in a mod.

Cleaned using TES5edit v 3.0.31

Thanks to Bethesda, GIMP, and Nifskope.

*edit 4/22/2014* Added Gilded Silver Greatsword, found near dead bandit in Broken Fang Cave, off the road from Whiterun to Rorikstead. Swing speed: 1, Base Damage: 20, Weight: 4.5 lbs. Silver weapon script intact, display has been removed.

Hey, I'm not familiar with the fallen daedra sword. I've never seen it, but I know a lot of modders use totally new textures in high def. Some of them look like photographs. It's insanely good stuff they do, but I'm low on the modding totem pole, so I am stuck with just photoshop or gimp.

oops, was meant to be 'the sheen', but you probably figured that out :)
wondering if you have any idea why the 'fallen daedra sword' is totally better colour to the ones made in the smithy, and if we can get more of the daedric weapons like it ?? cheers :)

You're very welcome. I'm glad to have helped.

Idk if you saw the comments further down, but if you want a sheath and a more sleek looking blade for the silver, look for Leanwolf's better shaped weapons on nexus. It's mesh replacer only, so no .esp file needed, and doesn't change your favorite textures.

I'd like to thank you again, your advise has helped me alot, not even just with the silver swords.

If you search "recipe" instead of 'temper,' you can do the same process to make them craftable, and can change the materials required to fit your desires. (ie: you could make them need advanced armors perk to create, but only steel perk to temper.)

There are other ways to duplicate items, but this way is the safest, in terms of preventing the accidental change of a vanilla item into something else.

Hey Tech, go to the bottom of the object window and select all, then type "temper" in the search box.

Find a temper for a sword that has whatever traits you want the player to need to be able to upsmith the silver sword (ie: steel sword requires steel perk to maximize the improvement). Right-click and 'duplicate' and watch for the duplicate to appear in the window. Double click to open it, change the name to something like "TemperSilverSword" and on the top right, find the silver sword in the created item drop box.

Then in the center, right-click on the ingots required, and hit "new" or "edit" and use the drop box to add whatever materials you want them to need. You may require a silver and a leather or something, to temper, or whatever you want. When you're done, as long as the top right is set for silver sword, whenever a player goes to the forge with the appropriate items on them, they can temper it.
