Plague Doctor is actually quite a nice guy. He is wanting to help cure the player, rather than kill the player.

He is a helpful and caring person. It's not his fault that he kills the player when it isn't his intention to harm them. He thinks he is helping to cure the player from the Plague.
I think scp 049 is misunderstood for this reason, because he is actually a friendly scp when you think about his intentions. Also, he treats his zombies well and cares for them as a leader.
