Replay Cayo Perico Heist Glitch [Best solo grinding method] (2024 UPDATE)

This glitch allows you to complete the Cayo Perico Heist, keep the money, and have the heist ready to play without having to do all the setups and without changing the loot you've scoped out.

This is currently THE best way to make money, as you can make about $1.5mil in about 15 minutes, and $6millions in one hour. You can make even more if you have the Panther Statue as your main target.

2024 UPDATE: Still works! Just did this a few minutes ago solo and got $2million again :D.

How to do the glitch [DISCONNECT METHOD]

DISCLAIMER: This method is not as reliable as before, i recommend using the No-Save Method instead.

So i'll keep this as short as possible, as it is really simple

1. Start the heist as normal and complete it
2. When you're on the cutscene delivering the bag, prepare to disconnect your internet.
3. Just a bit a bit after the guard does his 4th step, just when the screen starts pulsating, disconnect.
4. The game will send you to single-player, now connect to the internet and go back to online
5. Load into online, and see the money you got on-hand, go deposit in the bank!

Later when you go to the kosatska the heist will be ready to go, you can do this glitch as many times as you want.

NOTE: If you miss the timing disconnecting a few things can happen, either you keep the heist, but not the money, or you keep the money but you lose the heist. Or even both! (according to some users) So prepare before killing your internet so it doesn't happen to you.

How to do the glitch (with screenshots) [DISCONNECT METHOD]

The same as before but now there are screenshots

1. Start and complete heist
2. When you see the cutscene prepare to unplug your internet cable
3. A little after the walking guard is on his 4th step, and just as the screen gets frozen, disconnect. See the gif below to see what i mean:

PD: I made the timing a bit earlier than before. Now its really tight compared to before, so its hard to time correctly

4. The game will show an error, after this you should be sent to singleplayer

5. After connecting to social club, go back to online, and the game will greet you like this

6. Enjoy your money

NO-SAVE METHOD (Best way to do replay glitch)

The method i recommend the most for doing the replay glitch. This is the most consistent way at the moment. Recently timing your disconnect button has been really inconsistent for a lot of users, so i recommend using the No-Save method (made by u/ElectroBytezLV) over disconnecting your internet. As it requires almost no timing, and should be more consistent overall. PLEASE make sure to read the original post, as it is very important info, as well as the updated info post made by the same person.
Basically this method blocks your connection to R* servers, which allows you to do stuff in-game and preventing the servers from saving your progress. For our purposes, it removes the need of "timing" the disconnect, so it should be a more reliable method do the glitch.

Here's how to use it (this info is also in the original reddit post, in the "How to use the script to replay heists" section:
Don't play the game on fullscreen (i've read you can't use AHK in fullscreen, so play on borderless or windowed)
Make sure the script is activated.
Play the heist like normal until near the end.
The timing to activate it is usually 10-20 seconds before ending the heist.
Then when all cutscenes are done and you're in freeroam, leave gta Online.
In singleplayer, wait for all loading icons to disappear, then disable the script.
When joining back to online, you should have the money and the heist should be available.

How to unlock hard mode for Cayo Perico

After completing the heist, you have to wait for Pavel to tell you that the heist is available again, then you have a 48 minute window to start the setup and make the heist in hard mode.
If you ran the heist solo, you have to wait 3 in-game days (Or 2 hours and 24 minutes) for Pavel to call you. And if you did it with friends, then you need to wait 1 in-game day (or 48 minutes) instead.
So if you want your heist to be in hard mode, and make it give you more money per run. Make sure you have at least 3 hours of free time when you do it. Otherwise you'll lose the chance of doing it in hard mode and will have to do it all over again for another chance.

How to disconnect my internet

IMPORTANT: If you're gonna use the no-save method, ignore this part.

There are a few ways to disconnect your internet, i'll leave some options below:

• Key Combination (Script method): This involves using a script that turns off all your PC's internet connection.
  To do this, i recommend using AutoHotKey (AHK), which is a program that allows you to easily create these kinds of scripts. I'll leave some this tutorial on how to disable all internet connections(made by u/CRIME). To use it, play the game on borderless/windowed.
  
  
• Airplane Mode: In most laptops, there's a function key (Fn) that allows you to easily do stuff like change the brightness, the volume, etc. Just by using this combination of keys: Fn + F1-12
  For our purposes, if your laptop has a Function key with an airplane icon, test to see if it works. This is a really easy way to turn off your internet that doesn't involve any 3rd party programs. This can also be done on a pc if you play GTA windowed, just open the notifications menu (bottom right) or go to "Settings > Network and Internet > Airplane Mode" and activate it there.
  (PD: If you have an ethernet connection, make sure it's not connected, otherwise you'll still be connected to the internet when in airplane mode)
  
  
• Disconnect your ethernet cable: If you don't want or don't have any of the other 2 options. Your last option would be to physically disconnect your cable that gives you internet from the pc, I'd say this is the least reliable method, as you're most likely to miss the timing window, and there's the risk of straight up breaking your ethernet cable. But it's still a way to make your pc lose connection. Only use this as your last resource. (PD: And make sure wifi is turned off too, otherwise when you disconnect the cable, your pc will automatically connect to the internet again)

This glitch is inconsistent in 2024 (2025)

Well it's a glitch after all, and rockstar may have changed some stuff to make it harder to do the glitch all the time. Here's the way I always do it:

1. Change spawn point to Kosatska (submarine)
   
2. Restart the game and start in singleplayer
   
3. Join an invite-only or solo session
   
4. Run the heist immediately after spawning in online
   
5. Do the heist, and disconnect in the correct timing or activate no-save method
   
6. Reconnect or deactivate the script after loading to single-player, and rejoin online to get the money

This is no 100% guarantee, but it's the most consistent way according to users online and myself, i can easily do it solo 2 times and easily get the money regardless if I do it with or without the elite challenge, although retrying does seem to make it less likely that you'll get the money. Keep this last thing in mind

Also ALWAYS wait at least 30 minutes every 2 times you do the glitch. This is to avoid the money limit that R* put, and avoid wasting time and potentiallly losing the heist in the process.

Is Elite Challenge required to be paid?

For this one, i don't think it is. At least when running solo, i get paid regardless. And sometimes when you do Elite Challenge you don't receive the extra 100k, this is normal too.

If you play with friends, you stand a higher chance of getting paid if you do it with the Elite Challenge, if you fail the challenge, or restart the heist midway, sometimes no one gets the money, or only the host or only your friends get the money. It's really inconsistent. And i don't have anyone to test with either D: (No, don't ask to test with me as i no longer play GTA 5 like I used to)

FAQ

Q. Will i get banned for doing this?
A. It is very unlikely, as there rarely are any reports of being banned for using this heist replay glitches, they usually are caused by other exploits unrelated to this one, anyways to be extra safe, just do this sometimes, otherwise someone at R* might notice and give you the banhammer.

Q. Can I do this with friends?
A. I think so, i haven't tried with friends but it should work the same way, only the host would need to disconnect. Nowadays it is more inconsistent who gets the money tho, only your friends gets the money, sometimes neither get the money. So if you want money with friends I recommend doing the Casino heist instead. (it also has replay glitch, just disconnect when dude looks at his watch!)

Q. You got 2 million on your screenshot, how?
A. I have the panther statue, which is worth $1.9 million and the best loot you can get, it is only available on special events, so keep an eye out for all weekly updates every thursday to see if it came back.

Q. I tried it and it didn't give me money, why is that?
A. There are a bunch of reasons, either you missed the timing, or reached the limit of money you can earn (It's ~4.1M every 30 minutes, if you hit this cap you'll not get paid).

So yeah, if you've read this far thanks, I made this guide because there wasn't a guide on steam on how to do this glitch, so hopefully more people will know about this.
Of course I didn't find this glitch, I found it online and there are plenty of videos about it and other similar stuff to make money, but this is the most profitable atm. And is solo so you don't need anyone to grind this unlike the casino heist.

-i know sometimes it shows the "completed heist" screen after reconnecting to online mode and still doesn't get the money. apparently you just need to update ur money in order for it to show. the easiest way to do this is deposit or withdraw any amount and the money should be there.

just an update or additional info from the reddit gods:

-using the control panel and disabling ur ethernet adapter works way more consistent because it's almost an instant disconnect, meaning you have less chance of missing the glitch window

it's in Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. Then right click on the one ethernet adapter ur using then click disable.

-speaking of glitch window, i've also experienced more consistency when disconnecting at the 2nd flash after the yellow screen. If you refer to the GIF on the "How to do the glitch (with screenshots)" you can see the the "flash" im talking about is like an fov change around the screen. So disconnect on the 2nd one.
