Varn romance guide (dlc)

a guide on how to romance Varn in the Varnholds lot dlc

Introduction

since i couldn't find a complete guide on this i thought i would make one. for those who don't know in the varnhold's lot
dlc you can romance varn and this will carry over to the main game. to do this do the following
oh and some spoilers ahead also sorry for any grammer issues and so forth

how to do it

make a female character, race doesn't seem to matter but you do have to make the general a women.
(for reference though i did a human female)

when you first arrive in varnhold before he tells you to go pick out the mercenary's choose
"sleeping in a tent isn't so bad. it depends who you're sharing it with.."

then after you get your other party members and return to the stockade ask varn about how hes
"coping with every thing thing crashing down along with the title"
then select option 2 where you say
it was your idea to put him in the box with the apples.
then the second option again where you say
"are you talking about my idea to dress up the force as a horde of demons".
and then the first option where you say you
"i can put on the outfit and horns if he plays the prisoner again".

in the same scene then ask him if hes thought about the future for both him and varnholds.
the choose the first option where you say, "i won't leave you. no matter what happens"

now in the city of hallow eyes your next two points come from the bandits and the dragon
for the bandits you kill them and don't work with em. you can do all the perception check stuff and so forth
as long as you still say that you cant comprimise your morals even for a good reason

and for the dragon, get the dragon the wand and after he flys away and Cephal remarkes "you should get married so
that he can battlea dragon every evening" choose the first option "he doesn't need a wife for that he has you",
then
choose the first option again about
"the future lady varn putting up with his escepades for years
and to offer a should to lean on when theres trouble"

with all these this will trigger the first romance cutscene when you return to varnhold unless you did
some thing to upset him and lower his approval (currently idk if theres a way besides maybe being evil or some thing like that)

for the cutscene you can choose option 1 and then option 2 or just choose 2 which is "scouts report back that the maneuver you were asking about is more then possible"
as long as you don't choose 3 the romance will continue

as far as i can tell none of the options of how you deal with the revolutionary from galt will effect his approval
but i might be wrong,

and as for old stump village your gonna wanna side against the cult for the next point
as you have to convince the centaur's to let you into the tomb
you'll also have to save the young centaur you find while travelling to do this
and pass either a diplomacy or lore religion check when you meet silverfire

with that out of the way rest outside of the tomb and go through the nightmare after you wake up varn will ask you if
you'r alright at which point choose option 1
"just a bad dream. dont worry"
then when the next selection comes up choose option 2
"i don't need any one except you"

when you reach the portal in the dungeon after the book segment choose option 1
"spliting up now is unwise"

after beating the final boss and start talking to the horned hunter
dont attack him or leave instead talk to him till you ask him
"so this tomb of the cyclops lord and the gift of charon - they never existed?"
then
"you've told me about your game. so what do you want from me now?"
and then accept his gift of power or option 1
"I agree. Give me the power to protect Varnhold"

watch the cutscene and thats the Varnhold's lot dlc
back in the main game at some point provided he doesn't die along with vanrhold varn will come to with a quest
and ask you to come help them find that fate of the general. once you get there.
she will still be fighting and standing guard at which point varn has her relieved of her psot where she passes
out and some time later they get married.

bada bing bada boom thats how you romance varn as the general hope this helps also for the final boss of varn holds lot
hes a pain
pack a stinking cloud to cheese him and with that enjoy

Varn brought it up and I had three options. I told him it was a one-night stand and it didn't seem to affect things too much.

So will sleeping with Willas affect the romance? Even if it was a one night stand?

it sadly doesn't change that much other then i think varn gets a happier ending unless i missed some thing
