How to save time accessing new maps from the server
By HowToDoThis
I am going to show you how to enter servers that have custom/new maps quickly without wasting your precious time waiting for it to download directly from the server. This is a simple guide and it is created mostly for the new TF2 players.

Main problem
Do you feel frustrated when you are waiting for minutes or even hours, trying to access new maps in your favourite servers? Have you rage quit even before entering the server because the downloads are too slow? Do you want to try new/custom maps without waiting for a long period of time? This is the guide for YOU! I have the solution for this problem that will help you "eliminate" most of the questions above.
The Solution
The reason why downloading from server is so slow is that some maps are big in size (E.g.20-80MB), thus when downloading directly the server it will be very slow. There is a solution for this.
Let's say that I am entering a server that has a custom map and I am interested to try the map. But, the download process is gonna take a while. So I disconnect from the server and check the name of the map the server is in now.
Now I know the name of the map is dm_minecraft_skyloft_v2. I open my internet browser and google search "tf2 dm minecraft skyloft v2". I click the first link and double check the name with the server. The file type for TF2 map is .bsp. Make sure that the name of the map is the same. The map is size around 40MB. I click the "Download" button and after few minutes the download is complete.

Now there are two ways to transfer the downloaded map to your TF2 map folder. Let's start with the first way.

First method

Steps:
1. Go to Computer
2. Click on C Drive. (Or the drive that you installed Tf2 in)
3. Click on Program Files (x86) folder
4. Click on Steam folder
5. Click on SteamApps folder
6. Click on common folder
7. Click on Team Fortress 2 folder
8. Click on tf folder
9. Click on maps folder
10. Drag and drop the downloaded map file into the maps folder
11. Enjoy!

Here is the second way.

Second method

Steps:
1. Go to Computer
2. Copy and paste the address below into the address bar
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps
Take note the first letter in the address. It may not be the same drive
3. Drag and drop the downloaded map file into the maps folder
4. Enjoy!
Have Fun in new/custom TF2 maps!
If you followed the first way in The Solution section, then you got !
Haha not really, just that the steps for the first method is a bit longer than the latter. If you could not find the map after google searching, ask someone who has the map or the owner of the server for the map. That's the end of my guide. I hope that this guide can help many new players in TF2 to try out and explore new custom maps from the people that have created in the community.
