Cancel forced Valheim update and keep playing

A guide how to cancel the forced game update, so you can keep playing, at least in OFFLINE MODE!
Especially for those who play with mods and need to wait so mods get updated to the newest game update.

How to

This only works if you put Steam in offline mode!
As a general rule for modded games its a good idea to not let Steam update them!
Right click on the game in your library>properties>update> only update game when i launch it

Go to the directory of Steam thats has ur Valheim install in it (could be different from ur general Steam install when u have several Steam libraries and different drives)
e.g. X:\xxx\STEAM\steamapps
find appmanifest_892970.acf - make a backup copy of it!
Open the file with wordpad or any text editor of ur choice (good one in general is notepad++)

Save the file and in case u have to put Steam to online for other games, make the file read only, just dont forget to set it back when you are ready to let the update go through.

This works for any game that works offline, just find the game ID with steamdb.info and edit the corresponding appmanifest file.
