Well that's some improvement, years before I couldn't play it normally on my semi-top (at that time) R1700 1070Ti setup, and now it runs close to ideally-smooth on old a$$ 4710mq/950m notebook. Talking about miracles, eh. Don't know why I didn't see this guide before

Just download "widescreenfixer" https://github.com/dlrudie/WidescreenFixer/releases/tag/Original
Fixes the lag and sets the game to 60 fps <3

You can still change these settings in the new launcher.

Just in case anyone comes looking here for an answer I found a solution to my laggy gameplay. Every time I launch the game I have to refresh the graphics settings, and it immediately get rid of the lag. In game, go into settings > display > graphics and change anything and hit apply, then go back in and change the setting back to whatever you want and apply. For some reason this fixes the lag for me but it needs to be done every time I start playing.

Below is an explanation of the command lines above that appear to be missing from this thread.

str = Enable single threaded renderer, which may improve performance or compatibility on some systems (basically one core rendering)

npd = Disables the 'D3D_PUREDEVICE' flag from device creation. May help if you have graphics compatibility issues. (stops your pc using Direct 3D as a renderer)

nonv = is for NVIDIA users only ( disables NVIDIA API) wont be helpful if you have an AMD system

If you have an AMD system you are not likely to benefit from this thread.

Hope this helps! :)

Can you possibly explain in detail what each of the commands are?
