Description

Current Patch: 1.35.*

World Wonders - Africa is a mod focussed on adding additional flavour and spice in regions that are lacking. This mod contains additional monuments for the continent of Africa. Each of the smaller packs, which are all included in the collection linked above, have been made as compatible as possible.

If you want the fuller World Wonders experience with additional mechanics to enhance the monuments and their interaction with the rest of EU4, World Wonders - The Complete Edition is for you. Note: this mod might not be compatible with some larger overhaul mods so use it at your own discretion.

You can find the complete edition here: coming hopefully at some point in the near future.

As I am not an expert in all regions of the world during the time period of EU4, I may have made a few mistakes in historical accuracy or missed a few very obvious monuments. I made this mod with a love for history, with love for the game and I wanted to add a few monuments that I thought were missing. Feel free to suggest any monuments you’d like to see in this specific region. For other regions check the collection.

==========================

This mod is of course not meant to be played with Iron Man activated so I did not hold back on making some monuments really powerful while taking the nation, religion or region in mind to make the buffs flavourful and as accurate as possible.

==========================

As I am not a great artist myself, I partially used AI to create the monument images in order to get them as close to vanilla as possible. I do not claim ownership over these images, nor am I ever planning on profiting off of them.

@Deep, thank you for the kinds words (saw ur message on my other mod). Yes, I'm still developing the mods but life and Baldur's Gate have taken a lot of my time. I'd love to hear your suggestions though. I have some ideas lined up but might have missed some good ones

@Chrwytdal, will you develop your mods further? I can suggest a few monuments to add as you create amazing pictures for them.

They don't bother me in the slightest, happy to be of assistance! It has been a while since I made the images so I couldn't really give you any proper example anymore sadly, forgot most of them. I believe I used either the dreamshaper or deliberate models and going for an oil painting look worked a lot of the times but it is a lot of trial and error. Other than that, I can recommend looking up tutorials on youtube from people that actually know how AI works. I copied a lot from them myself. I found Sebastian Kamph particularly helpful but you might find others more to your liking. There is no one formula for this. Some prompts work once but than don't work for the next one and reference images vary in usefulness. And what works now might not work for newer versions, models etc. I cannot really give you a straight answer but I hope this helps at least

Okay, thank you very much! Sorry for all my questions (if they bother you, you don't have to answer them; I can totally understand that), but I have one last question: would you mind sharing an "example prompt" you used to turn a reference image into the vanilla art style?

Any time! and I used automatic1111. Found that one easiest to handle as I feel like a bit of a boomer with programs from time to time x)

@Chrwytdal thank you for you quick answer! Which stable diffusion platform did you use, if I may ask?
Chrwytdal  [author] Aug 4, 2023 @ 3:24am
The Cothon should allow you to construct the Galleass special unit that was added in the previous DLC for Venice and Genoa
Builder Aug 4, 2023 @ 3:01am
Is the Galleass from the Cothon just the normal one you get from tech or is it a special unit? I'm confused since it says it gives "Galleass force limit 10%" and I'm not seeing anything that adds a special unit in the mod folder.

@Friedemann, thank you for the kind words. As I wrote in the disclaimer, I used AI to enhance or create the images so they would look at close to vanilla as possible. To be specific, I use stable diffusion with mainly image2image to generate most images. Some where made with existing photo's as reference which I ran through the program, others I created from scratch and then ran through im2im until I got the desired results
