Your description for why you have to return to Onderon is perhaps the funniest way you could put it.
positive and negative influence its just like your character alignment its a sliding scale of +/- with the same influence thresh holds for triggering events
piss off boa-dur enough as a darksider you can still turn him into a jedi guardian
however negative influence makes party alignment the opposite of yours if you care about that
The only benefit is more force powers like Jedi consular class but the base class (IE the consular) is more superior due to classes passive bonus of making all your force attacks stronger.
-pissing her off is kinda needed, as you gain influence if you initiate a dialogue with here right after that and apologize. and if you play strict Light Side, you don't get a side-quest that helps with her influence on Onderon, so you take watch you get.
-pissing her off requires high enough Wisdom/Intellect, otherwise the point about her family doesn't come up.
-she also gains influence in the Onderon cantina when fighting breaks out, if you agree with her that you should not harm regular people there.
-another way to get influence with her is telling bounty hunters that you meet on Dxun and Onderon that Mira's awesome, and they suck.
I'm posting this because I had to dig through old forum posts and try stuff myself, as "just speak with her on the ship" didn't do anything. aside from agreeing with her that Nar Shadaa is kinda fun.
Second, choosing between the Mercs and the settlers on Dantooine might not have a serious impact, but do Onderon BEFORE Dantooine. This way, if you decide to help the settlers, you can have Mandalore talk with the Mandalorian Mercs in the camp to call off their involvement, The regular mercs will still attack, and you might see Mandalorians in the cut scene attacking Khoonda, but Mandalore will be pleased that you reunited him with his people. Another reunion takes place on the docks of Nar Shaddah in the rooms just before Vogga.
