Welcome to my Resident Evil Village guide! (Updated to include DLC!)

Unmissable Achievements

These achievements are unmissable and you will unlock them just by completing the game!


Not Lycan This...
Survive the lycan attack.



Four Lords
Escape the mine.



That Sucked!
Defeat the mutated Dimitrescu.



Got No Strings
Defeat Donna and Angie.



Fish Out of Water
Defeat the mutated Moreau.



Up Urs!
Defeat Uriaș in the stronghold.



Temporary Measures
Place the Giant's Chalice in the ceremony site.



Iron Giant Down
Defeat the mutated Heisenberg.



The Root of the Matter
Find the Megamycete in the underground ruins.

Missable Achievements

These achievements are listed in the order they show up in the game!


Goooaaal!
Move the ball from the Winterses' bedroom into the study.


For this achievement you need to kick the yellow ball in the upstairs bedroom into the study (the room in the back right corner.)




Timber
Defeat Uriaș during the first lycan attack when you enter the village.


This achievement is easily done on easy difficulty on New Game+, you'll need a strong weapon to be able to do enough damage to kill him before the cutscene, I used the infinite ammo grenade launcher which is unlocked after finishing the game once as long as you found it during your playthrough.

Get the Ball Rolling
Solve a Labyrinth.


This achievement isn't really missable, but I thought I would put it here just so you can get it out of the way. The first Labyrinth is in the safe room of Castle Dimitrescu. The ball is located in a small room upstairs from the piano puzzle. It is in a corner behind a Moroaicǎ (pictured below). There are 4 Labyrinths total, so if you miss this one you will have other opportunities. To solve the Labyrinth you need to get the ball from the start to the end by rotating the castle.

Leader of the Pack
Take down the Vârcolac Alfa in the story.


After killing Moreau, an optional mini-boss called Vârcolac Alfa will spawn in the field with the scarecrows (the area in front of Luiza's house on the map). To unlock the achievement all you need to do is stock up on ammo and kill him.

Mapmatician
Complete the village map.

For this achievement you must visit all areas of the map. When doing a full collectibles playthrough you will visit every area except for one somewhat hidden chamber in the bottom left of the map. It is only accessible after you've killed Moreau and received the crank. Read the achievement below for more information, as it is unlocked in the same area.

Medium Rare
Set fire to a Moroaică in the story.


For this achievement you need to set fire to one of the Moroaică. These are the soulless maids who wander around Castle Dimitrescu, however you cannot unlock this achievement until much later into the game, after you've beaten Moreau and unlocked the crank. Back past Duke there is a drawbridge which you can use the crank to lower, this will give you access to a boat which you can either go up or down river in. For this achievement you want to go up river and enter the large double doors on your right, inside there is a fire puzzle in which a Moroaică will infinitely spawn, you can knock the fire into her to set her alight and unlock this achievement. I have a video below if you're lost.

Fast Reflexes
Knock a flaming arrow out of the sky with a close combat weapon in the story.


You can unlock this achievement in a few different sections however I found it easiest when you're making your way to the stronghold, after passing by a sign that says 'good luck' and making your way up a staircase you'll be attacked by a group of lycans, after killing all of the ones on the ground there will be 2 left above you who shoot arrows at you (pictured below) try slashing one of the flaming arrows mid air with your knife, once you get the timing right you shouldn't have too much trouble

Quit Hanging Around
Shoot down a Soldat hanging from the production line in the Factory

Once you reach Heisenberg's factory, you'll have many different opportunities to unlock this achievement. All you need to do is shoot down any of the Soldats hanging from the production lines all around the factory, I unlocked it in the area pictured below by shooting one of the ones far off in the distance until he fell down.

Miscellaneous Achievements

Photographer
Use Photo Mode.


Very simple achievement just press escape (or P during a cutscene) and choose the Photo Mode option.


Crafter
Craft an item in the Crafting menu.


You will get this achievement just through playing the game, to access the crafting menu press tab and go one page over.


Patron
Purchase something from the Duke in the story.


The Duke is the shopkeeper, simply buy anything from him (buying the free items won't unlock you this achievement).


Petty Thief
Unlock a simple lock with a lockpick.


You'll find lockpicks and locks throughout the story, so this achievement shouldn't be too hard. The Duke will give you a lockpick for free.


Repairer
Combine a treasure into its complete form.


In Resident Evil Village you can sell valuable items to the shopkeeper, however some of these items are combinable so you won't make the most amount of money from them until you find both parts and combine them. Make sure when selling items to check if they're listed as 'combinable' before you sell them. If you're exploring the world you should easily be able to complete an item, if you need more help with completing an item let me know and I'll update this section more.


Gunsmith
Equip a gun with a customizable part.


There are a lot of different customizable weapon parts throughout the game, some can be found lying around whereas others can be bought from the Duke. Once you have one in your inventory just click it and combine it with the weapon it's made for.


Hunter
Hunt an animal during the story.


You'll get a lot of different opportunities to get this achievement, there are chickens, fish, pigs and goats all over the map, just kill any of them for the achievement. (Crows don't count!)


Push Comes to Shove
Push away an enemy after guarding in the story.


You can block enemy attacks by holding space, pressing space again after you've guarded from an enemy attack will cause Ethan to knock them back.


Trick Shot
Defeat an enemy from long range with the sniper rifle in the story.


I got this achievement right after I got the sniper rifle, there's flying enemies all around outside the castle, just shoot one of the ones far off in the distance.


Strategist
Defeat at least three enemies with one attack in the story.


You should get this achievement quite easily, just use pipe bombs or mines against large crowds of enemies.


Squawk Shot
Shoot down five flying crows in the story.


There are a lot of different opportunities to get this achievement. There are crows sitting on the ground in many different sections, especially in the village, which will fly away once you get near them, just shoot them as they fly away. (They need to be flying to count towards the achievement so don't shoot them while they're on the ground).


Tinkerer
Create every type of item available in the Crafting menu.


Other than the first Aid Meds and the Handgun Ammo you'll need to purchase all of the recipes from the Duke.
**The crafting recipes only unlock after certain sections of the game, if you miss any or can't afford them you can come back and buy them again in New Game+

Lucky Number 7
Have 777, 7,777, or 77,777 Lei in your possession in the story.


For this achievement you'll need to do some quick maths! You'll need to purchase the rifle ammo crafting recipe as rifle ammo sells for 7 Lei each. (You'll need to unlock a rifle from the extra content page after finishing the game to have access to the crafting recipe.)
Once you have rifle ammo the only problem is getting to 770, 7,770 or 77,770 (but 770 is easiest). I recommend using a calculator and subtracting 770 from however much Lei you have, so you can see how much Lei you need to spend to reach 770.
Remember to save before doing this so you don't accidentally sell anything you'll need later!

As an example, if you have 1,920 Lei in your inventory you'll need to calculate 1,920 - 770 = 1,150.
So in this case you'll need to spend 1,150 Lei to reach 770, you can buy 1 shotgun ammo for 1000 Lei and 1 pistol ammo for 150 Lei leaving you with 770 Lei. Now all you need to do is sell 1 rifle ammo and you'll have 777.
(I hope this makes sense, it's a little difficult to explain!)

Collectible Achievements

Cynic
Destroy a Goat of Warding.



Heretic
Destroy all the Goats of Warding.



Bookworm
Read every single file in the story.



When You Gotta Go...
Open the door to every outhouse in the village in a single playthrough.



Hooligan
Break every breakable window in Castle Dimitrescu in a single playthrough.



Artisan
Collect every crafting recipe.


For the Artisan achievement you'll need to purchase all of the crafting recipes from the Duke. These are all listed under the 'Tinkerer' achievement in the miscellaneous section above.


Veteran Gunsmith
Equip every gun with their customizable parts in the story.


For the Veteran Gunsmithin achievement I have listed all of the weapons and their attachments below. Weapons and attachments listed as (Found) are found throughout the world and are all in my collectibles video. Weapons and attachments listed as (Duke) can all be purchased from the Duke. It will require multiple playthroughs to be able to afford every weapon and attachment

Doll Collector
View all character and weapon models.



Art Collector
View all concept art.


For the Doll Collector and Art Collector achievements, you will need to purchase all of the chracter & weapon models as well as the concept art with cp from the 'bonuses' page on the main menu. This will unlock after you finish your first playthrough and you should have enough cp to afford them all.

Difficulty/Requirement Achievements

Great Dad
Finish the story on at least Casual difficulty.



Best Dad Ever
Finish the story on at least Standard difficulty.



World's Best Dad
Finish the story on at least Hardcore difficulty.



Universe's Best Dad
Finish the story on the Village of Shadows difficulty.



Dashing Dad
Finish the story within 3 hours.


This isn't actually too hard once you've finished the game once or twice. Infinite ammo weapons will make this extremely easy, but aren't necessary.


Frugal Father
Finish the story without spending more than 10,000 Lei.


Same as above, do this achievement with an infinite ammo weapon and you shouldn't have any issues.


Don't Trust That Snake Oil
Finish the story only using four or less recovery items.


On casual difficulty this achievement isn't too hard, of course like the achievements mentioned above, unlocking an infinite ammo weapon will make this achievement extremely easy.


Knives Out
Finish the story using nothing but close combat weapons.


This achievement requires you to only use a melee weapon for the entirety of the game apart from a couple of scenes in which non-melee weapons are required to progress, these being:
- Shooting the bells in Castle Dimitrescu
- Blowing up the wall with a pipe bomb in Castle Dimitrescu
- Shooting the piece of wood to make the bridge fall while fighting Moreau
- During The Factory where you must shoot the red lights to stop the large fan from spinning so you can progress
- During the Factory where you need to shoot the fan before you get sucked into it
- During the Heisenberg bossfight when you're in the vehicle
- Miranda's Bossfight shooting the orbs above her, as well as shooting her at the end.
**Do NOT use the lazer pointer while fighting Urias as Chris as this will void the achievement

Buying a stronger melee weapon from the bonuses section of the main menu (unlocked after finishing the game at least once) will help you out a tonne! Make sure you save often and check the Knives Out challenge status under the challenges tab. It should say 0, otherwise you'll need to reload.

Mercenaries Achievements

The Mecenaries mode can be bought in the content shop after you've beaten the game at least once. It contains 8 levels in which you need to kill enemies, stack up combos and save up money to get the highest possible score in the end.


Combo King
Get a combo of at least 30 during The Mercenaries.


This achievement isn't too hard, a lot of the later levels have plenty of enemies. I found the 1st level of the 4th map the easiest for this achievement, as all of the enemies are pretty close together. However you can do it earlier too, I recommend using the shotgun.

Legendary Cowboy
Achieve at least an S Rank on all stages in The Mercenaries.


This achievement is a little bit more difficult, to get an S you'll need to reach a certain number of points, the book near the exit door in the buy room will tell you how many points you need for an S for that particular level. For the first 4 levels I just used the shotgun and m1911 and it wasn't too hard, for the last 4 levels I just upgraded the pistol and bought the revolver on the first buy. These levels were a lot more difficult, but the points required for S aren't as high so it's not as hard as it seems once you get used to it.

Green Teen
Finish Shadows of Rose on at least Casual difficulty.



Serene Teen
Finish Shadows of Rose on at least Standard difficulty.



Supreme Teen
Finish Shadows of Rose on Hardcore difficulty.


Miscellaneous Achievements


It's Starting to Grow on Me
Use Rose's mutamycete powers at least 20 times.


Basically unmissable, you'll unlock this achievement over the course of the game.


Craftsmaster
Craft every type of item in Shadows of Rose.


For this achievement you'll need to craft every item in the Shadows of Rose DLC. There are 4 items total:
- First Aid Med (Herb x Chem Fluid)
- Handgun Ammo (Chem Fluid x Gunpowder)
- Shotgun Ammo (Gunpowder x Rusted Scrap)
- Pipe Bomb (Rusted Scrap x Gunpowder x Herb)

The Mercenaries Additional Orders Achievements

Village of Blood
Complete the Bloody Village in Additional Orders.



River of Blood
Complete the Bloody River in Additional Orders.


This DLC introduces 2 new maps for the Mercenaries game mode. You'll need at least an "A" rank on normal difficulty on each of the base game maps for these stages to unlock.

most of the RE games got updates think it was something about raytracing or something being added like that, heard about it awhile ago.
think some complained it was crashing there games, might be an beta branch thats the older version.
check under re7 think were read of it, as not everyone could run it under the new conditions.

Ahh, i could have been mistaken, I got an update to the game, so i assumed it was the dlc, maybe it was like pre downloading some dlc stuff, not sure, but now my game crashes when i launch it so that sucks
