Descripción
These streetcars first trundled down the streets of Toronto in 1977, after much deliberation about the future of the streetcar network. In many ways, this streetcar cemented the continued existence of Toronto's network as the ageing PCC fleet would have either resulted in the network being scrapped or renewed. Thankfully, Toronto went with the latter and this was the streetcar that resulted.

However, the car was still a bit of an oddball. It was designed with a relatively high top speed of 80km/h and a rugged construction in order to also be run on the Scarborough RT in multiple-unit trains. Due to political pressure from the province, who wanted to develop the ICTS, the SRT was effectively made a prototype for that system instead. As a result, the CLRV and their articulated siblings the ALRV were rather over-designed and over-built for the purpose of a street-running streetcar. Nonetheless, they served Toronto loyally and reliably and became an icon of the city in itself. After over 40 years of service, they were retired in 2019, replaced by fully accessible and higher capacity Flexity streetcars.

In this mod, a maximum of 3 cars can be strung together if you want to actually use them for Scarborough RT purposes, or just higher capacity.
Also are 2 available versions:
  • TTC Red
  • Recolourable
The recolourable is the same livery as the TTC, but the decal colours can be changed. You want Boston to have gone with these instead of the Boeings? The world is your oyster.
