Danish Monuments

This mod adds 3 monuments to Denmark using the Great Projects mechanic introduced with Leviathian.

I was quite disappointed to see that Paradox left out all the glorious monuments throughout Europe so i decided to add the monuments for my own country that i feel has had the most importance for the nation.

Dannevirke:
- historically one of the oldest fortifications in Northern Europe
- has been built upon numerous times which fits the "upgrade project" mechanic
- At EU4's starting date, the old fortification has been neglected and decayed for centuries so it'll be starting at tier 0.

Kronborg Castle:
- Probably Denmarks most important castle and one of the best preserved renaissance castles in Northern Europe.
- Its main purpose was to enforce the Sound Toll (the kingdoms main income during the EU4 period).
- Was built around 1420 so it'll start at tier 1.
- It was historically also upgraded several times, which fits the "upgrade project" mechanic.

Lund Cathedral:
- One of Scandinavias most influencial cathedrals as it was the seat for the Archdiocese that included Denmark, Norway and Sweden in the medieval era.
- built around 1050 it will start as tier 1
- It was also upgraded several times, which fits the "upgrade project" mechanic.


I chose these three as i felt they were the most significant monuments during the EU4 time period (Dannevirke maybe not so much as it wouldnt really get its significance until the 19th century).

I had plenty of other monuments in mind that i wanted to add to the small country of Denmark but had to limit it as i didnt want the country to become too OP in the game. I also wanted to balance it so the monuments effects would be worth the monuments cost (otherwise what's the point?)

I also dont like the idea of having more than one monument in a single province hence why i didnt add monuments such as Roskilde Cathedral, Frederiksborg Castle, Vor Frue Cathedral, Rosenborg Castle etc.

Im potentially thinking about adding monuments to all three scandianvian countries so if anyone has any suggestions to Swedish and Norwegian monuments, do let me know under the "discussion" page and i'll see what i can do in a future mod :)
