Steam WOT with non Steam account / Steam WOT mit nicht Steam Account

A short manual how to play a exist non Steam account with Steam overlay and Steam functions.

[EN] How to configurate it?

You need booth versions on your PC installed (non Steam + Steam). It's only a trick to use the steam Overlay but you don't transfert the account into an Steam account.
ATM its not possible. Maybe in future

• Installed version of the non Steam World of Tanks
  
• Steam installed version

1. Save your files:
   Open your Steam installation: your drive \steamapps\common\World of Tank
   Save this file: wgcs_api.exe to another location and delete it from the installation path.
   
2. Copy the file from non Steam version:
   Open the folder: C:/ProgramData/Wargaming.net/GameCenter/wgc_api
   Copy this file: wgc_api.exe
   
3. Insert and rename at the new location:
   Insert it into the Steam installation path: your drive \steamapps\common\World of Tank
   Rename the file into wgcs_api.exe
   
4. Finish

How to use it?

1. If you want to use the Steam version you have to close running World of Tanks and the Game Center.
   
2. Now start the game directly form the Steam overlay. It will use your non Steam Version (non Steam installation) with the Steam overlay.
   
3. If you want to restart your game: Close the Game Center. Start form a new session directly form the Steam overlay

[GER] Wie wird es funktionsfähig konfiguriert?

Sie müssen beide World of Tanks Versionen auf Ihrem PC installiert haben (nicht Steam + Steam). Es handelt sich hier lediglich um einen Workaround, um die Steam-Overlay Funktionen nutzen zu können. Das Konto wird nicht ein Steam-Konto umgewandelt.
Aktuell ist ein Übertrag in ein Steam-Konto nicht möglich. Vielleicht zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt.

• Installierte Version des nicht Steam World of Tanks
  
• Installierte Version von Steam

1. Sichern Sie Ihre Dateien:
   Öffnen Sie Ihre Steam-Installation: Ihr Laufwerk\steamapps\common\World of Tanks
   Speichern Sie diese Datei: wgcs_api.exe an einem anderen Ort und löschen Sie dies aus dem Installationspfad.
   
2. Kopieren Sie die Datei aus der nicht Steam-Version:
   Öffnen Sie den Ordner: C:/ProgramData/Wargaming.net/GameCenter/wgc_api
   Kopieren Sie diese Datei: wgc_api.exe
   
3. Einfügen umbenennen im Zielort:
   Fügen Sie die kopierte Datei in den Steam-Installationspfad ein: Ihr Laufwerk\steamapps\common\World of Tanks
   Die Datei umbenennen in wgcs_api.exe
   
4. Fertig

Wie wird die Steam-Version benutzt?

1. Wenn Sie die Steam-Version nutzen wollen, müssen Sie das laufende World of Tanks und das Game Center schließen.
   
2. Starten Sie nun das Spiel direkt aus dem Steam-Overlay. Es wird Ihre nicht Steam-Version (nicht Steam-Installation) mit dem Steam-Overlay verwenden.
   Wenn Sie Ihr Spiel neu starten wollen: Schließen Sie das Game Center. Starten Sie eine neue Sitzung direkt über das Steam-Overlay

Siehe das Kapitel "Only one install at my PC / Nur noch eine Installation auf dem PC :-)" um aus beiden Installationen eine zu machen.

I now have only one installation on the PC:
I copied the contents from the original WOT directory to the Steam directory in the "eu" folder and replaced the existing data

Your install location: \Steam\steamapps\common\World of Tanks\eu\

In your Game Center from Wargaming you have to add the new installation directory and then you are ready.
What will happen when the next big patch comes, I don't know yet. I'll let myself be surprised.

Ich habe nun nur noch eine Installation auf dem PC:
Ich habe den Inhalt aus dem Original WOT Verzeichnis in das Steam Verzeichnis in den Ordner "eu" kopiert und die bestehenden Daten ersetzt.

Deine Installation: \Steam\steamapps\common\World of Tanks\eu\

In deinem Game Center von Wargaming musst du das neue Installationsverzeichnis angeben und nun bist du fertig.

Was passiert wenn der nächste große Patch kommt, weiß ich noch nicht. Ich lass mich überraschen.
