GoatChat (OUTDATED)

Description

GoatChat connects the chats of all players who have the mod loaded and allows them to talk to each other just like in a multiplayer game.

Usage

Load the mod by clicking on Custom Game in the main menu, and selecting the GoatChat mutator.
Double-click on it or use the >> button to move it to the Selected Mutators section on the right.

When in-game, simply press T and enter your message.

To disable/enable text-to-speech for incoming messages, press F2.
(There appears to be nothing I can do about outgoing messages.)

Notes

In order to connect the chats, the mod uses IRC (irc.rizon.net:6667).
Users familiar with IRC can participate in the chat on #goatchat.

- fixed a bug that could cause outgoing messages to show up multiple times

Known Issues

I can hear incoming chat messages but I can't see them.
This issue started occurring after some update, apparently it can be fixed by respawning once. I haven't looked into the problem any further, though.

Troubleshooting

WHY IT NO WORK???
See the Usage section above.

It says "Failed to resolve host!".
The mod is unable to resolve irc.rizon.net, most likely DNS issues on your side.

It says "Failed to open connection!".
The mod is unable to connect to irc.rizon.net on port 6667, the connection is probably blocked by some firewall.

It suddenly said "You have been kicked from the chat!".
Yes.

After connecting, it says "You are banned from the chat!"
Yes.

I can see my messages but no one else is talking.
As you said, it appears that no one else talking. Note the user count that's displayed upon connecting to the chat.
