White Star Line's SS Traffic Tender

From serving some of the largest liners in the world to being an obsticle to the allied invasion of Europe during World War 2, the Traffic did it all. Here is my replica of the White Star Line's tender, the SS Traffic.

STARTING THE SHIP
Press the button labeled "Light Boiler", then press the button labeled "Stoke Boiler". Once that is complete, advance the throttle, then the clutch and the vessels should start to move.

SHIP HISTORY
Built by Harland and Wolff to serve the massive Olympic-Class Liners, Olympic, Titanic & Britannic, Nomadic and her sister Traffic were some of the smallest vessels in the White Star Fleet. They were based in Cherbourg, France, where they would transport passengers out to larger liners that could not fit into the small harbor.

When the White Star Line merged with the Cunard Line in 1934, the Nomadic and the Traffic found themselves ferrying passengers out to the RMS Queen Mary. However, their service was interrupted by the outbreak of World War 2.

With the outbreak of the war, she was commandeered by the French Navy and converted into a minelayer before being captured by the Germans and sunk as an obstacle to any potential allied invasion. She was then raised and converted into a coastal patrol vessel before being scrapped midway through the war.
