Description
Fight For Universe: Bleeding Edge is a total rebalance modification that makes gameplay considerably more slow-paced and tactical (especially combat), while adding a ton of new features such as: additional difficulty variants, module research, module reverse engineering, dynamic module tiers and stats, capability for damaged modules to continue working with reduced efficiency, interdiction fleets, energy emission signature and more.

Warning! This workshop item is only a placeholder! To install actual mod you need to follow instructions below! The mod itself can't be uploaded to Steam Workshop, because it patches game's DLL file in virtual memory via BepInEx + MonoMod Loader.

Simple Installation Instruction
1) Download game ready pack: https://git.soon-tm.info/warstalker/FFU-BE/-/releases/v1.0.4.0
2) Unpack its contents into \Steam\steamapps\common\Shortest Trip to Earth\ folder and run the game. Ensure that you end up with BepInEx, winhttp.dll, doorstop_config.ini and changelog.txt in game folder, and not something else!

Advanced Installation Instruction
1) Download BepInEx Unity Game Patcher v5.1[github.com]
2) Download MonoMod Loader v1.0.0.0 for BepInEx[github.com]
3) Follow their installation instructions using STTE root directory: \Steam\steamapps\common\Shortest Trip to Earth\
4) Run game for the first time so BepInEx.cfg file will be generated in /BepInEx/config/ folder.
5) Change in BepInEx.cfg: EnableAssemblyCache = false, in [Logging.Console] Enabled = true and all LogLevels = Fatal, Error, Warning, Message, Info.
6) Backup STTE's AppData (where saves are stored folder): %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Interactive Fate\Shortest Trip To Earth\
7) Download mod's DLL from https://git.soon-tm.info/warstalker/FFU-BE/-/releases/v1.0.4.0
8) Put it into \Steam\steamapps\common\Shortest Trip to Earth\BepInEx\monomod\ folder and run the game.

Bleeding Edge Mod Features
Total Gameplay Rebalance - every ship, module and crew-member got their stats and parameters changed, categorized, specialized and assigned specific role. With rebalance of all space battles between ships became slow paced and more profitable. Now you have time to send boarding parties and enjoy the action, while sipping tea.
Modules Specialization & Roles - every module type is specialized and assigned strict category and role. No more boring and duplicate module types. Stealth Generators reduce ship's signature, Research Labs allow reverse engineering of scrapped modules, Cryodream Bays generate xenodata during travel from sleeping crew and Radiation Accelerators are perfect for keeping enemy ships clean of any living beings.
Module Reverse Engineering - Research Laboratory modules are no longer just credits/xenodata generators. They are needed if you want to make discovered modules craftable. To track your reverse engineering progress and queue, hover over the research icon at Economy panel (that is under Resources panel in top-left corner of your screen).
Crafting Research Progression - The more research progress you will make, the greater chance you will get to craft module with higher tier (also boosted a little by scrapping modules). The more often you will craft same module, the greater chance you will get to receive positive trait. To track your research progress, hover over the research icon at Economy panel (that is under Resources panel in top-left corner of your screen).
Dynamic Module Tiers & Stats - Module tiers can vary from MK-I (default stats) all the way to MK-X (end of the line top stats). Tiers of modules sold at stations depend on sector number. Tiers of modules installed on enemy ships depend on sector number and your research progress. Tiers of modules craftable by you depend only on your research progress.
Intact/Damaged Modules Looting & Operation - Every non-destroyed module from enemy ships has 85% chance (multiplied by it's current health percentage) to be looted by you. So extermination of enemy crew to leave ship intact became very profitable. In addition, damaged modules continue to operate, but with reduced efficiency and nukes require manned command bridge. Also, please do remember that all crew members were rebalanced too.
Extensive Module Information & In-Game Help - When you will hover your mouse over modules in crafting list or over the top-left corner (icon) of selected module data panel (or crew members equipped weapons), you will get exact module stats and parameters. Also, please don't forget about updated in-game help that is accessible via F1 hotkey. It contains a lot of detailed information about modded features as well.
Extensive Mod Configurability - Module has external INI configuration file that will allow you edit all kinds of multipliers and settings to make your life easier (or even unlock all modules for crafting), if you find it too hard. Default mod config file location: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Interactive Fate\Shortest Trip To Earth\ModsConf\FFU_Bleeding_Edge.ini

@Akio yes, if they arent working, try opening this page in a browser and than try the links again. The steam client can be a bit iffy with links.

Figured it out, your excellent mod is unfortunately not compatible with my favourite ship, the Mediator ( Mod) battleship.

So I decided to play anyway even without the save game option since this mod is great and this time I loaded from the /steamapps/common/shortesttriptoearth/ application file from your mod and my missing save was back. So since I started the game from doing that there might be an issue that requires me to continue starting the game from the application file rather than from Steam. I just wanted to let you know since I am very happy I can play from saved games again.
