Introduction
If you're having trouble using or understanding how stockpiles work, I hope this will shed some light on them for you because they are extremely useful.

I've come across several people the last few weeks who have had trouble using stockpiles so I thought I'd write up a small step by step guide to using them and share what knowledge I have on them so players can utilize them better. Here are a few general things to keep in mind:

1.) None of them share inventories. You can not deposit into one stockpile and travel to the other side of the map and pull it out at another stockpile; even if it's a private stockpile.

2.) If you pull crates from public inventories whether it be at a factory or stockpile, those crates can not be submitted into private stockpiles.

3.) Not all vehicles can be submitted into stockpiles and large items like vehicles produced at Mass Production Factories come in crates that CAN be submitted to private stockpiles, however, to use those vehicles they must be uncrated first, and you can NOT uncrate them into your private stockpile, they will go into public inventory.

4.) Some vehicles that can be stored in stockpiles may be barred from being submitted into private stockpiles. If the vehicle doesn't have a symbol in the top right corner of the inventory it can not go into Reserve Stockpiles.
Example:

5.) Stockpiles only have a 48 hour lifespan if you do not deposit or withdraw from it. If you do not touch it for 48 hours it will decay and disappear, and the contents will fold into the public stockpile.
Depositing
So you have an abundance of supplies you want to store but you want to save them for you and your friends or your regiment to use for later, what do you do?

It's fairly simple really, Both Seaports and Storage Facilities  can be used as stockpiles. Just roll up to the one you want and open the inventory and you will see something like this:

If you want to create a new stockpile click the . If you have a code and want to access a stockpile click the .

If you choose to create a new stockpile it will ask you for a name and once created you will have the option to choose whether it is visible to the public or not as well as be able to briefly view the code or copy it straight to your clipboard for easy pasting. Just check the Actions area in the stockpile interface and you'll see these icons.

Note: If you choose to make your stockpile viewable to the public they will not be able to withdraw from it without the access code

If you have the code for a stockpile and clicked the you will be met with this:

Just enter the 6 digit code, click submit and check your stock pile list here( You only need to enter the code once to have access permanently):

Make sure you have the correct stockpile you want to use selected and you're good to go.

Just right click on a crate in your inventory and click Submit All to submit your whole inventory, or you will be given an option to submit individual crates if that's what you want to do.

If you want to submit a vehicle, make sure it is fully repaired and the inventory is empty, drive up to the stockpile, open the inventory, make sure you have the right stockpile chosen and click the icon.

If you are submitting a large item like a resource container or artillery piece; make sure they are empty and you will use the icon while sitting in the crane. It will be available after you set the equipment on the pad. The interface generally pops up automatically.
Withdrawing
So you've been asked to grab something from a stockpile and but you're not sure what that is or how to use it, what do you do? First locate and travel to the stockpile you want to use:

Both Seaports and Storage Facilities  can be used as stockpiles.

Okay, so you've found the stockpile you need to be at, now what?

Get close enough to it that you can pull up the inventory with E. (you can do this from inside your vehicle) It should look something like this:

There may be more stuff, there may be less stuff in a public stockpile. The drop down tab circled in red is the list of available stockpiles to you.
Pay very close attention to what you have selected before withdrawing/depositing.

To move crates into your inventory just click on them and they will begin to "Assemble". If you're in a vehicle you can shift + click to take out stacks of 3 at a time.

If you are at the stockpile to pull out a vehicle this what you need to know:

The icons outlined in red are the crated vehicles/large items and the uncrated ones. They are differentiated by the tiny crate symbol on the icon. If they are crated they must be uncrated to the public stockpile to withdraw and use. When you are withdrawing a large item from a stockpile make sure you and no one else is standing on the pad or it will not appear and you will have to try again.

Usually you need to package large items after they've been withdrawn to move them with a crane onto a flatbed. Example: Resource Containers or Artillery

When the equipment is on the pad walk over to it and press Shift + E and something like this will pop up:

Choose the resource container and you will see something like this:

Just click the packaging icon that was highlighted orange in the picture above and it will begin the packaging process. When it is complete you will be able to move it by crane.
Shipping Containers
If you read the first 2 sections then using shipping containers will be pretty simple.

Bring the container to a or and pick it up off your truck with the crane. Then set the container on the loading dock and you will see something like this:

The part circled below is the shipping containers inventory:

Shipping Containers can hold up to 40 total crates of various supplies.

Just as if you were in a truck, choose your stockpile here, right click on the crates in the shipping container and click submit all and all the items will be put into the stockpile you have selected if possible. When you are done submitting items into the stockpile simply press the packaging icon to package the container from the crane to pick it up and set it back on your truck. If you are finished with it you can simply press the icon to store the entire container granted it is empty.

Another cool thing to note is that while near both a shipping container or a seaport/storage facility you can both crate and uncrate items into your person inventory. This is especially useful for things such as emats. You can uncrate them personally and put them in a truck to get stacks of emats to bring to factories.
Outtro
Stockpiles can be a tremendous help both to the individual and as a regiment and I highly suggest learning how to utilize them. They can be used for a variety reasons from a general place to put overflow to a front line supply depot for quick logistical runs. The storage system can be a little confusing and intimidating to new players so I hope this made things a little bit easier to understand.

While I didn't include using naval vehicles in this guide it's pretty much the same thing as far as I know, you're just loading a boat instead of a truck. However if requested I would look into adding another section for that.

I hope you found this guide easy to follow and helpful, if so, please give it a like and refer your Foxhole friends to it if they're confused. If you have any further questions, comments, or suggestions of things I should add to the guide let me know in the comments!
