about
Dead Island Save Editor (DISE) is a powerful tool that allows to modify your save-files and get access to various features and improvements. it might be useful for a whole range of players, from those who just want to hack/cheat a game - to players who want to respec their characters' skills and reduce some unnecessary gring and annoyances

DISE supports the following games:
  • Dead Island
  • Dead Island Riptide
  • Dead Island: Definitive Edition
  • Dead Island Riptide: Definitive Edition

update 2022-NOV-20
It came to my attention that developer deleted his GitHub's repository and software is no longer an open-source; plus I don't have any trust or high faith into developer, given his narcissistic shtick and control-freak behavior (visit his Discord channel to know what I am talking about)

I decided to upload and share the version of DISE that I personally downloaded from GitHub when it was current. in other words, in this guide you can find an original open-source version of Save Editor I am can trust of

download
why password? if you are asking that question then you never had a google-drive account
features: intro & preview
  • select a character you want to edit of
  • or select "Profile" if you want to edit in-game settings, achievements or challenges

first tab is called "preview" and allows you to modify a current chapter and see overall information about your progress

features: inventory
on the second tab - "Inventory" you have lots of options related to your equipment and items

  • in bottom-left corner you can edit your ammo and money
  • in the bottom-center you can edit properties of various equipment (quantity, level, rareness, mod, upgrade, durability - and even make that weapon unbreakable)
  • in the bottom-right corner you can search thought item database and add any possible item into your inventory (even NPC-only items and various cut/debug stuff). there is also a search field
features: mods / collectables
on a third tab - "mods / collectables" give you a control over what weapon mods you have and what collectables you have collected

  • on the left you can unlock (add into inventory) any mod in the game. DISE also conveniently tells what ingredients of that mod are, to what weapons it is applicable and its stats. so, as you can see it serves as a good mods database and gives you a nice insight of what mods you have missed
  • on the right you can add into inventory any collectables (ID cards, Banoi Excerpts and Audio Tapes). also DISE reports what collectables you already have found. so if you are going for 100 ID Cards, that feature might be useful to know exactly which ones you have missed
features: skills / tweaks
fourth tab - "Skills" gives you a control over character's skills. you are free to remove skill points, add them, reorganize and respec in whatever way you want

  • in the top-right corner you can level up you character
  • in the top-left corner can you open "tweaks" sub that gives you access to various cheat-like feature. the full list is below

To the guy that asked about changing the damage to the guns.. I found it better to have a completed game play for stronger weapons.. and trade with a co op player to have them on another save

Bro no kidding, hate to use cheats but Idk why I made sure I completed 57 quests before heading to prison but once I reached prison my quests reduced to 54 (don't ask me how cz I have no fucking idea). Completed the game and I rn have 69 out of 72 to quests :( not gonna play the whole game again to get 72 on 72 for a bug that had happened.

Is there a way to change the name of a weapon? I remember back on Xbox 360 someone gave me a paddle with a custom name.
