Sentinels of the Multiverse Custom Deck: Captain Sunshine

Descripción
Captain Sunshine, defender of justice, is ready to take his place in the sun and be the hero this city deserves!... If only he weren't so worried about losing his new sidekick, Wonderboy 6...

Captain Sunshine is a weird mechanical mix of damage dealer and control, with two key components to his playstyle; Light Sensitive Super-Cells, which allows him to put out high damage and great utility while the sun is still up (and, more importantly, you have an at least half full deck). And Recruit Wonderboy, a mechanic where you can designate any non-character from another deck - as long as they have 10 hp or less! - to become your new Wonderboy, your sidekick in fighting crime. Though, if you -do- recruit strange monsters or weird henchmen as your sidekick willy nilly, you're going to need to train them a fair bit to bring them up to the heroing speed...

I probably would; the deck works great, but a few tweaks to make it play a bit smoother wouldn't hurt. Also, it's kinda ugly due to me not quite getting my art program when I first made it.

Glad you enjoyed Mr. Satan though! As for Cho'Gall, kind of embarassing but he was the first deck I made. That's why it's formatted kind of weird and the font is different from the other two decks. The Hearthstone cardbacks are mostly because it was an appropriately Warcraft source for a card back. I know the WoW TCG is a thing, but Hearthstone cards are very identifiable as well as having enough variety that you can split it up how I did - mainly the main deck being a neutral brown, the Cho deck being red-orange, and the Gall deck being purple. Just color identification.

Aw that's a shame. I made it to be kind of a tough deck to play, also as an homage to another creator who I really liked. Sorry you didn't have much fun with it. The draw power is meant to be kind of a drawback, and Wonderboy and his associated cards are meant to help you mitigate that. Getting a Wonderboy you can't use absolutely would ruin the experience of playing the deck, so I can see why it'd ruin the game for him.

yeah unfortunately my friend didn't enjoy it, the indestructible card has such a big downside that it ruined the game for him.
he did love the concept but its way easier to be below the deck number with a crazy amounts of card draw than over, since we found at some point you have more cards in hand than cards in deck

not dealing damage or using powers ruined it and on top of me arguing with how the wonderboy name change works and being unable to move it around didnt help either

personally i like the deck but it doesnt play well. however we did love your mr.satan and i didn't play it yet but i love how cho'gall looks (why the hearthstone cardbacks tho)

Yeah typically 'Card Name' is a term exclusive to hero and villain character cards, while Recruit Wonderboy targets non-character villain targets and environment targets - which usually use 'This Card' to save space. Just something you run into sometimes playing workshop decks alongside another. Hope you're enjoying the deck though!

though i think i found out that the creator just uses "card name" instead of this card
Likkyzero 17 MAY 2022 a las 2:54 a. m.
its pretty much Power: "card name deals 1 damage"

It depends on the text of the effect, but Recruit Wonderboy can break certain effects if played on the wrong target. What's the text of the card you used it on?

uh by name that is
