Said mod allows you to establish small domed colonies on uninhabitable planets, moons, and asteroids, and rocky planets and moons can even be terraformed without the 'Candidate' modifier if you have the right technology, ascension perk, and a ton of energy, minerals, and food. All this said it is a fairly balanced mod; I recommend it to everyone who is interested.
Thank you for the feedback, very much appreciated. :)
Indeed, toxic worlds can be colonized in Small Settlements. Still, I have long been thinking about giving Terraforming Candidate to Venus (or maybe even Titan).
The reason I have not done so yet is mainly the balance issue. This would be three (four?) potentially habitable worlds in the Sol System.
What some other mods do is creating an event at game start that you can use to give this trait to Venus. I may create something similar (though haven't tried it yet).
I was wondering though, do you have any plans to add a Terraforming candidate modifier to Venus? It's just a minor thing that always bugged me about the Vanilla game given that Venus is IRL a better candidate for future transformation given it's size: https://www.orionsarm.com/fm_store/TerraformingVenusQuickly.pdf
If not I was wondering if your Small Settlements mod (the only one I don't use) would allow habitation? Great work either way!
So do I... I was really trying but something was not working out. But I will keep looking into it, because Real Sol Textures is absolute treasure.
