Better Dwarf Miners

Description
In the tabletop game, Dwarf Miners are a good way to put a normally slow unit of Dwarf warriors on the flanks of an enemy force. In addition, the fluff says that Dwarf Miners and Dwarf Warriors come from the exact same background, being a worker in peacetime but able to muster into a capable military force as easily as flipping a switch. Here, Dwarf Miners are the single cannon-fodder unit that Dwarves have, being far inferior to Dwarf Warriors in melee combat instead of a way to create a new battleline where an enemy won't expect. This mod is meant to fix that by buffing the capabilities of Miners so that they can hold their own against Warriors.

Quick Overview
  • Armour of all Miner units dropped from 80 to 45.
  • Leadership of Miner units dropped from 68 to 65.
  • Leadership of Ekrund's Miners dropped from 78 to 75.
  • Speed of all Miner units increased from 28 to 34.
  • Melee attack of Miner units increased from 18 to 20.
  • Melee attack of Ekrund's Miners increased from 27 to 29.
  • Melee Defence of Miner units increased from 18 to 28.
  • Melee Defence of Ekrund's Miners increased from 27 to 38.
  • Base Melee damage of all Miner units increased from 5 to 7.
  • Armour Piercing damage of all Miner units increased from 17 to 21.
  • Charge Bonus of Miner units increased from 6 to 16.
  • Charge Bonus of Ekrund's Miner's increased from 13 to 23.
  • Health per model of all Miner units increased from 63 to 65.
  • Custom Battle Cost of Miners increased from 325 to 425.
  • Custom Battle Cost of Miners with Blasting Charges increased from 400 to 500.
  • Custom Battle Cost of Ekrund's Miners increased from 625 to 725.
  • Campaign Recruitment Cost of Miners increased from 325 to 425.
  • Campaign Recruitment Cost of Miners with Blasting Charges increased from 425 to 525.
  • Campaign Recruitment Cost of Ekrund's Miners increased from 625 to 725.
  • Upkeep Cost of Miners increased from 81 to 106.
  • Upkeep Cost of Miners with Blasting Charges increased from 106 to 131.
  • Upkeep Cost of Ekrund's Miners increased from 156 to 181.
  • Autoresolve/Balance of Power value of Miners has been adjusted to compensate for their improvements.
  • Miners with Blasting Charges are still good against gates. Adding the Fast for a Dwarf bulletpoint to their description just pushed that out.
  • Miner and Miners with Blasting Charges torsos and legs replaced with Ranger torsos and legs to go with their lighter armor.
  • Ekrund's Miners have had their torsos and legs replaced with re-skinned versions of Bugman's Rangers torsos and legs, replacing the blue highlights with the rusty orange highlights and yellow sleeves with the beige sleeves of the vanilla Ekrund's Miners skin.

Summary
Dwarf Miners are no longer a roadblock unit and are instead a melee counterpart to Rangers, having the same stats as Dwarf Warriors with Great Weapons but less leadership and armor and a slightly worse Base damage to AP ratio but more speed, just like how Rangers compare to Quarrelers. In combination with Rangers, they can be used as a way to deploy an infantry line that trades some resilience for versatile deployment options. While they don't have Stalk, they can still creep through forested maps without being seen just like Rangers and the lack of Stalk can even be used to your advantage through leaving the Miner unit visible, but not the Ranger unit nearby. Making them have lower armor, leadership and a worse Base to AP ratio compared to Warriors is so there would still be reason to use Warriors over Miners.
