This is a guide about the best mods you should install after buying gmod! before we get started, some of the addons might not work out of the box, if so you will need to buy Counter Strike: Source (its recommended for stuff like DarkRP and others)

DarkRP

If you are going to be playing on servers or hosting your own, DarkRP is a must, its a roleplaying gamemode you can play around with on gmod (the screnshots below are not mine as i dont have the addon)

M9K Weapons

Tired of the default HL2 Weapons? then you should install the M9K Weapons, its filled with a bunch of weapons for all your shooting and deathmatch needs!

Wiremod

This addon lets you make different gadgets by using wires, it does have a tricky learning curve but you can easily find out how to use the addon by googling "how to use wiremod"

the name says it all, its a big city map for many diffrent things

Back in my day it was all about the wiremod, ACF (i think), bunch of other technical mods. DarkRP sure, Big City duh, but nothing here is important except wiremod.
