Starting it

If you just started playing tf2, theres a good chance youre a free to play(f2p). F2p's are those players that haven't bought anything from the mann co. store and are unable to use features like tradables, hat crafting and, with the new update, chatting and vc publicly. VERY BAD

The Inevitable way to get out of the f2p hell and unlocking premium is to buy something from the mann co store. You will need at least $0.99

If you don't have enough, you can borrow from a friend by selling anything tagged marketable (in your inventory) to the Steam Community Market for the value you need and having a friend buy it. a good example would be a trading card.

Finding it

The best thing to buy would be the paint can. paints cans go for only $0.99 on the mann co store and they are the cheapest marketable items you can buy.

A discounted weapon is technically cheaper. The Mann Co. Store charges 78 cents for them. Even though it is cheaper than one dollar, the item itself isn't marketable and you won't get any money selling the weapon. So buying the weapon isnt advisable.

You need to sell it back to the market. Not refunding because your premium will go with the paint too.

Go to the home page of your community market, Click "Sell an item", select your paint bucket, Click "Sell", and then you should come to this:

What should I fill out here? The "buyer pays" and "you receive" tabs calculate each other out whatever you put in either of the boxes. So just click the buyer pays and sell it 1 cent less than the current market value so you're first in line of selling.

For example: the purple paint was being sold for $1.09. Ill would sell mine for 1.08 to beat the competition.

Check the subscriber agent box and then click "put it up for sale" Finally, you wait for someone to buy. Itll take about 20 minutes or more depending on some things idk.

ending it

Once someone buys your bucket, you have done it. You have premium. unlocking the ability to use the chat, vc, unlock tradables, letting you get hats!


So what did it cost? practically nothing.

If you had borrowed money from someone and would like to return the money, gift them the bucket instead of reselling it.
