Deadly Dodgeball: Meet the Softball

Get to know the one-trick wonder star child of the grenadier weapons, and settle heated debates the old fashioned way; with a game of dodgeball.

She's a beauty...

The Softball is a rough and tumble grenade launcher just like mum used to make. She features a revolving six-barrel cylinder and fires sticky grenades in a parabolic arc that detonate shortly after touching a surface.
These grenades do a tremendous amount of damage over a short area, and sticking them to an enemy Pilot is guaranteed a kill- even posthumously. Of course, sticking these bad boys is no easy feat, especially against a moving a target. You'll have to judge your angle, and account for travel time. Luckily for you, the Softball comes built-in with a visual arc to predict where your shot will land. Simply aim in, and you're good to go.

Okay, boomer.

The Softball, being an explosive weapon, is deadly against armoured targets- you can see where this is going. Reapers, Spectres, Titans, all will dread the might of the Softball. Pop an Amped Weapons boost beforehand and you will start to deal more than considerate damage to enemy titans- and because the grenades have a timed delay, unaware Titans will suffer a good amount of flak before they turn around and you haul it like a bat out of hell.

Synergies

The aforementioned Amped Weapons is an excellent choice for a boost if you plan on going on the aggressive against Titans. For weapon mods, Speed Reloader is a must-have, to compensate for the abysmal reload speed. Tactikill is a great second skill, as is Gun Ready if you want to take full advantage of the visual arc to better land shots. Generally though, you'll want to take some combination of Speed Reloader or Extra Ammo.
