I'm Your Wingman: How to become a space cowboy

You're a simple man. You know the rules. It's you, versus them, and when the odds are stacked against you, you need a gun you can depend on. Introducing the Wingman Elite.

Did I fire six shots or only five?

The Wingman Elite is a staple of a frontier cowboy, bearing a remarkable high damage per shot (with headshots rewarding the user with an instant kill) and perfect hip-fire accuracy. It's also one of the few weapons with a projectile type bullet- meaning you'll have to lead your shots at longer distances.

With the potential to score multiple kills before reloading, the Wingman Elite is a deadly choice for any range. While the bullet drop and slow firing speed may put off those looking for a faster, more efficient weapon, a little time and patience will reward you immensely; the ability to drop pilots with one well-placed shot is not only incredibly helpful, it's damn stylish too.

Synergies

The Wingman offers some great synergies with certain loadouts. My personal favourite combos are with the Pulse Blade- useful for getting the drop on enemies and Phase Shift - great if you need a reload before entering combat. The Gravity Star is highly effective with this weapon, and can shut down a speedy pilot with ease. For secondaries, I recommend the P2016- one shot should be enough to finish off an injured enemy.

But if you are a true cowboy, you'd set that thing down, and grab yourself a B3 Wingman, the Elite's younger brother. Although lacking in pep, this bad boy will still get the job done.


Attachments

I recommend Speed Reloader- this minimizes your downtime while reloading, but if you prefer a more stoic approach, Extra Ammo is always a viable choice. Being a high-powered revolver, the Wingman Elite also has the Ricochet mod available. Believe me when I tell you that this mod will save your life at some point.

Sendoff, Or: The Ride Into the Sunset

Sure, we got rocket launchers. We got high-calibre machine guns. We got laser rifles. But something about that lucky old revolver gets me right in the heart, and I ain't talking about those .50's its putting out. At the end of the day, you need a gun that's got your back, a six-shooter with a temper and a wielder with a thirst for justice. Be a Wingman. Be my Wingman.

This reminds me of one time that I was playing the campaign, and I elected "No. Not today. I'm keeping the smart pistol and saving BT by not calling him down."
I obviously plowed through the first group of infantry, and then I spent the better part of an hour curled up in a pipe shooting a titan with the FREAKING PISTOL until I finally, FINALLY exploded it!!!
And then I promptly died. There is a universe in my head where Cooper single-handedly destroys the IMC with that pistol and comes home to a very disgruntled BT
