Well, that's just a bunch of work. :) Weapons, which aren't allowed, are "red" without any testing, ofcourse. The others need a broadside shot at ~150m on every animal with every weapon. No bone hits, just lungs. Measured on the fleeing distance and the Quick-Kill Bonus from the vital hit point, you can set some thresholds for the colours. After a while you get a good feeling for the effectiveness of a weapon on a special species.
Give it a try - shoot a yellow combination and on the same animal a green combination.
Very good hint - I have to say, that I have to try bow hunting way more to get more accurate values for this. But yes, I strongly agree and will update this sheet, when I tested it out.*thuimbs up*
Suggestion: reconsider rating of 350 grain trad arrows for class 3 animals. IMO that's an orange or at least yellow category on that arrow. Try it.
IMHO the best loadout for rifles is:
.22 LR Virant
.243 Ranger OR 7.62x54R Solokhin MN1890 (it depends, if you want to hunt class 2 game)
.303 F.L. Sporter
.300 Canning Magnum
Cheers. :)
