Starter African Buffalo Habitat by PlasticSwans

Beskrivelse
This African Buffalo enclosure is part of my Starter Habitat Series. This habitat can house 1 X Male and 5 X Female African buffalo.

About the Starter Habitat Series
The Starter Habitat Series is a set of basic enclosures for every animal in the game. I've designed these habitats for beginner players, meaning that:

1. Each habitat is optimised to meet all animal needs - every habitat meets all requirements for the number of animals to be housed (volumes of flora & fauna, water, terrain paint, hard shelter, barrier strength/height and climb-proofing if required). There's no wasted space, or sprawling gigantic pens. Sizes have been optimised to fit (in most cases) the maximum number of animals the game recommends be housed together. I've taken liberties with this where the game says it can house massive amounts (like the 500 penguins and flamingos)!

2. These habitats don't use any DLC - you don't need any DLC packs to download and use these enclosures (except for ones that are made for specific DLC animals - you'll need the relevant DLC for those). The habitats also only use base game 'Planet Zoo theme' pieces, so you can download and use straight away without having to research building set themes. You may need to research barrier types as majority are made from the wood, concrete, wire mesh or glass barrier types.

All enrichment items need to be added manually. I've kept enrichment items in images for purposes of showing where they can sit, but removed before uploading to Steam so those who haven't researched them can still use the habitat, and you can choose when/how you add enrichment yourself.

3. All habitats are rectangular for easier placement in game - Please note - every habitat blueprint in Planet Zoo automatically loads into the game 'floating in the air'. You need to use the move tool (press x as soon as you click on the blueprint to place) to sink it back down to the correct position. To help with this, I've left markers inside the habitats to get them flush with the ground ('see me' and 'hide me' signs). With the advanced move tool, sink the habitat down until the 'hide me' sign disappears and the 'see me' sign is still visible. You can then click outside of the habitat to place it in that position and delete the signs. Check out my video tutorial (attached above) for more help with this.

4. Nothing is super expensive - I've avoided heavy decoration to keep in-game costs of these habitats down. I've still tried to make every habitat interesting and unique, but keeping to basic materials, plants and decorations.

If you have any issues or need more help to download and place, leave a comment below and I'll look into this for you! Also rate and leave a thumbs up if you like this, it helps others find these habitats too!

Hi @alison.cool this is a bug that started happening about 6 months ago. It's to do with water in blueprints, whenever there's water in blueprints it'll only move at the jumpy increments. I made a tutorial on how to deal with this issue if it helps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdSr7LG2Kis

Hi @Ash thank you! Yes unfortunately the water is a bit difficult, it's not really something I can fix because it's something to do with the coding and affects all blueprints. For most of these, if you press the button to delete the water entirely, then press the one to add water, find the highest point it'll let you add the water and that seems to work best! Hope that helps!

Love the starter habitats, although struggling to get the water placement correct :(
