How To Keep Skippy Without Bad-User

This guide is to show how to get the Skippy The Talking Gun and how to keep it with the mods you want to have.

Dupe strat doesn't work so to use this glich you need to play it at an old version of the game.
Other gliches still work.

Havent tested with the new Phantom Liberty dlc yet. (These methods should still work cause there was not a patch concluding skippy)

How To Get Skippy

Skippy is a talking smart weapon and your choices can change the gun's power. To get Skippy The Talking Gun,firsly you'll need to start a side job called Machine Gun. Once you arrive at your destination, you'll need to pick up a gun from a dead body on the ground. After you pick Skippy it will talk to you about which mod you want to chose.

Weapon Mods

Firstly, there are 2 modes that can be chosen for skippy.

• First one is the Stone Cold Killer; This mod always aims to the heads of the opponents.
  
  
• Second one is the Puppy-Lowing Pacifist Mode; This mod aims at the enemy’s lower body.

After 50 kills, the gun will change into other mod and it is permanent. You can't change it again. After 50 kills you will have an conversation with skippy and there will be 3 choices for you to choose. If you want to keep Puppy-Lowing Pacifist mode, you need to chose “killing is wrong” option, other choices will change the mods.

How To Keep Skippy

Skippy will have another conversation with you and that will determine whether you keep Skippy or give it to the real owner which is Regina Jones.
Note: You should save before doing these.
To keep skippy you have 3 options

• First Option: You can choose to give skippy to Regina Jones but before giving it to her, drop the gun to the floor then finish the quest. This will reduce the amount that the Skippy will say “bad user”. It will reduce the times to say bad user but either way skippy keeps saying it.
  
  
• Second Option: You can choose to give skippy to Regina and don’t complete the side quest. This is the best solution because Regina will give you a very little amount of money, street credit and xp. Skipping this quest doesn't matter if you dont try get a %100.
  
  
• Third Option: You can dupe the gun. Duping is a method for duplicating anything in the game except iconic guns but you can dupe skippy after you chose not to give to Regina. You need to get a skippy that don’t have the quest symbol. If you get a skippy that have the quest symbol you need to dupe it again till you got one without the quest symbol. After you get one without the quest symbol you need to put it in a stash and give the one with the quest symbol to Regina. If Skippy kepps saying “bad user”, you should do this process again and again.

How To Dupe

Note: The dps of the duped items can be lower but stats will go back to normal in time.

How to dupe: First you need to sell the thing you want to dupe. Then go to a shoping place then press sell and option button at the same time. In this case, for Skippy the screen should be seen like this. Then you can buy it as much as your money can buy. Then repeat this process as much as you want.

Might be new with phantom liberty, but I eventually got a text message from Regina telling me that the original owner of Skippy bought the AI chip in the gun, and she left it in her office for V to pickup. So I picked it up and I assume he doesn't talk at all anymore (I hate smart pistols)
