opening and closing doors from the workshop would be cool to have as a function. also another function would be to have the ability to turn on the hot tub water. Or any other kind of interaction.

Eagle - Unfortunately, No. We'll all have to wait and hope the original game publisher gives us the ability to do that. The Unity Engine this game runs on uses a lot of custom scripts written in C## and HLSL. I myself am currently learning the Unity Engine. I've been playing around with adding scripts to some of my items in order for them to be interactive, but so far, nothing I've done looks promising, I'm still very much at the beginner level with this software.
